News Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville

I'm really confused by someone saying "all they do is make dick and fart jokes". There was one dick joke and no fart jokes. Am I missing something?
I brought this up as well, and all someone could tell me was that it was a way to say the humor was low-brow. I thought the humor was well-placed and served the show well.

Honestly for Seth Macfarlane I think the lowbrow-ness was very low key. There was one joke about drawing penises. Nothing else really. Unless "pizza party" is slang for something I'm not familiar with.

Actually, it is. Pizza party is slang for a group celebrating something, and consuming a food made with dough, sauce, cheese and the possibility of toppings if desired.

So, what, did you get lost and take a wrong turn onto a scifi forum one day and just decide to remain here?

Oh well, maybe because I thought that people in this forum were enough open-minded to warmly accommodate people having or not (like me) a sci-fi culture but it seems that I was wrong, Locotus of Bored, doesn't it!
I think that it is precisely because I am not a sci-fi "specialist"* or a die-hard Trekkie that I can sit back and evaluate with a cool head the quality of the finished product (or in progress) without necessarily being a fan and of course, and decide if this "first contact" makes me want to continue or not the adventure.

And just for information, the fact that I'm not an amateur didn't stop me from watching Star Trek: Voyager from s1 to s7, to appreciate the show for what it is, not more or less, and to be an active participant in the forum dedicated to this series (which is still on Trek BBS website), in over a year (1 year & 7 months to be exact) and where people are clearly more respectful (except for 1 or 2 that are a little too passionate to the point of being obnoxious!)

It was a joke. I didn't criticize you. I was just genuinely surprised to have someone say they're not a scifi fan yet hang out on this forum. It can't be that shocking to you that someone might find that a bit surprising, can it?

Ripped from (way back in) the Orville's twitter:

I like 'em!

Although in that shot of most of the crew, the orange and red shirts were difficult to distinguish from each other. (Also a lot of people in coveralls in that shot!) Also interesting that apparently Mercer, Grayson, and Bortus are the only three with blue shirts.

Edit:
Just so this is in one place.....
According to the now-outdated twitter posts (which had a contest to "join the team") the divisions are:
Blue: Command
Orange: Engineering
Red: Security
Green: Medical

So...what are the divisions? Command and Medical, obviously - what's the split between the other two? Operations and Security?
