The critics are vicious. They want Orville's corpse, and they want to do nasty things with it:

Humor and drama can peacefully co-exist, even in this kind of setting — the aforementioned Galaxy Quest is both a Trek spoof and one of the better (unofficial) Star Trek movies — but that requires care and effort, where all of this feels slapped together at the last possible minute.

Or there would be repetitive scenes, like Alara constantly going back and forth, looking for advice, when she is temporarily put in charge of the Orville. It just smacks of stretching for time. The editing really could have been tightened up overall. Only David Lynch can get away with characters standing there, looking like they are waiting for someone to yell “Action.”

As far as I can find no one has picked up the rights. But it took this long for Netflix to pick up The Good Place and show Season 2 of The Expanse so I wouldn't rule it out yet.
Netflix having both DSC and Orville would be awesome!
It would but I suspect Fox might pick it up to go with Family Guy and American Dad.
You would think that FOX UK and FOX US would have a solid working relationship.... But Rupert is trying to buy Sky One in the UK and has some anti-trust considerations to worry about, and may have to unload FOX UK completely.
Not just Sky One, Sky's entire business, I don't know if the US or Aus have an equivalent national (actually international now) satellite TV, home phone, ISP and mobile provider, but it's a pretty huge company.
Just because channel has FOX as its name does not necessarily mean that it automatically gets all the FOX US shows. Hopefully FOX Finland gets Orville, and airs it in short time after the US premiere, but it could just as easily go to Netflix or HBO Nordic or other streaming services.
I will definitely still watch the pilot episode and if it holds my interest, I will keep watching.
I'm definitely going to watch it, one because it looks to be an ambitious effort, and Seth MacFarlane has a passion for TOS as well as original Twilight Zone. He's mentioned the challenge of creating Science Fiction, as well as being in awe of people like Roddenberry and Serling.
Some of the reviews seem like they're not fans of his work to begin with, so that will color their opinions. Cinemablend seems to have an idea of things, and gave it a favorable review:

The days of the UK only having four channels are long gone. Nowadays we get 40+ on Freeview and hundreds on Sky and cable services. As of yet, nobody has made any announcements about The Orville.
