Found this on FB tonight, as I did other stuff.

Rumor: Aidan Gillen, actor well-known for the role of petyr baelish in game of Thrones, could play a key character or even the villain in the second season of Star Trek: Discovery.
According to the rumor, the actor may appear in the final episode of the first season of the series.

They're very sarcastic and crude, but they also bring up really good points on storytelling and filmmaking. One of my teachers actually played his SW: Episode I review for us when we were learning about the hero's journey in film and media.

I'm trying to decide if you're serious. The "YouTube Guy" is Plinkett. Aidan Gillen is an actor who's been in many productions but is mostly famous for The Wire and Game of Thrones.

I do hope this rumor is true, but I'm taking it with a whole block of salt.

I think they want to get some idea of how its first season actually goes over first.

(I'm personally looking forward to it, but hey it's an expensive show and while yeah, the first season is paid for; I'm sure they want to see just how well this new Star Trek story formula goes over with the fans and general public before greenlighting a Season 2.)

I'm with Bill. Never heard of the guy. But I think we should a least see what the pilot is like before we start talking about season 2.

I'm as excited about the show as anyone. But I have yet to see anything to completely vanquish any lingering doubt. There's still a real possibility it could turn out to be total shit. And I think it's bad mojo to start celebrating potential season 2 stars before the pilot even airs.

Also, calling Pinkett "hilarious" is an affront to funny people. But I digress.
