Interesting theory about Guinan

Picard#1

Just putting this out there, but it's been my deeply held belief that Guinan is actually the 14th Doctor All evidence points to this being true I watch TNG and Voyager all the time Voyager is my favorite I know what I'm talking about here Plus, the next Doctor is a woman, so we know that gender roles no longer apply.

Whoopi Goldberg would probably be up for an appearance on DW, but Guinan is definitely not the Doctor.

Actually I don't think the writers knew what Guinan was, in her first couple of appearances. When she sees Q in "Q Who", she actually strikes a defensive pose, as if there's anything she could possibly do to him. And Q says "Guinan? Is that your name now?" (despite the fact that it would later be shown that she was always called Guinan)

But see You prove my point The fact that Q acknowledges that she's had many identities over many lifetimes demonstrates very clearly who she really is She's calling herself Guinan in this Universe because she's trying to evade The Master Just consider Star Trek Generations and the conversations she has with Picard in The Nexus

I like your theories, new and refreshing, you'd do well in the Q continuum - I suspect this is the first time this theory has come up in the 18 years of this forum.

Lose the bold though.

I'm jiving with your theory Picard#1, because it kind of makes sense within the context of Star Trek: Generations... does that make Jean-Luc one of the Doctor's Companions?

The Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover comic Assimilation-Squared pretty much proves this theory wrong.

What? Isn't this the thread where all the cool posters post in all bold?

Part of the allure of Guinan is that she remains shrouded in mystery. Not everything needs to be explained down to the last detail. Let's just say that she is more than a mere mortal, but less than omnipotent, falling somewhere in the middle.

Fans have speculated that Guinan was a Time Lord (or a Highlander) since her debut, but this is the first I've heard that she be the Doctor herself.
