Hood-class battlecruiser TOS concept design

I use my own website host, GoDaddy. As long as I'm paying $99 a year for website hosting, I may as well. I keep a temp folder there where I can throw pics to use on bboards.

The thing that irks me is, before they shut down my account, they sent an email saying "we see you're using PhotoBucket for 3rd party hosting" and the pitch to buy extended services. Well, yeah, why the hell else would anyone use their site but for 3rd party hosting? Why do they have pre-built IMG tags which are unique to forums like this if they weren't meant to be used as 3rd party hosting? Why are they acting like they just now realized what people use their site for??

It feels like they got some new fresh-out-of-MBA-school suit running the show and cluelessly figured he'd raise some extra money for the company, not realizing there are other free and less-greedy competitors out there and everyone is going to migrate away in droves.

:sigh: I guess at some point I need to take the time and pull all my pics over so they don't disappear forever when PhotoBucket has to shut down from lack of use and advertising revenue.

Ya know what this feels like - there's a scam going on my home town. A local lake association that maintains a small beach on a small lake in town, suddenly decided to send out membership bills to the half the town. We'd never even heard of the lake association, but they're claiming that when they incorporated in 1947, and the town was more vacation cabins than homes, their association covered 700 acres. So now they want $50 a year, plus 5 years back dues, from everyone in that 700 acre area. That's 6,300 households. They're sayin membership was automatic when we bought our house. Most of us, since we never heard of the association, nor ever used the beach, nor have anything in the title to our homes saying we were members, simply refused to pay. Now the lake association is suing 6,300 households for the money, and we had to get our title insurance company to sic a lawyer on them.

^ Ya gotta love a good scam.

Really top-notch.

Would love to see someone do some CGI of this ship.

Have you thought about building and detailing a "battle scarred" version of your Hood?

I have not. Hood was a 10 month project, I doubt I'd have the time to do another one. Many more projects on the build schedule!

Also, this is Hood following her refit, post-M5 encounter. I wasn't sure if you were referring to that "battle scarred" instance but this is my depiction of Hood following repair, re-design and upgrading.

CGI is nice and all but I personally would be more interested to see this model filmed or photographed like they did with the refit Connie model, see how she looks with the right lighting and all, bet she'd look great in Technicolor. ;)

10 months? impressive, my attention-to-rage-and-destruction time would be measured in minutes and would result into the ship being launched piece by piece..
