Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Here's another one back on the original topic of guest stars in surprising roies:

Angelique Pettyjohn played the part of Dora Belair in the 1988 film The Wizard of Speed and Time. You can see her at 14:15 into the film, complete with a Shahna poster on the wall of her office! The whole film was posted to YouTube with the blessing of it's creator/star, Mike Jittlov. If you've never seen it, it's a fun romp with lots of great practical effects and animation work.

And right after her clip, Jittlov bikes by a lot where three SF vehicles are seen in the background. See if you can recognize them.

Oh man, I remember seeing that film! He used an Amiga computer for his time travel, didn't he?

This morning's Twilight Zone ep on SyFy was "People are Alike All Over", featuring a cavalcade of future Trek guests in addition to a future ape:

Paul Comi as Roddy McDowell's fellow astronaut.

Susan Oliver as an exquisite Martian:

In addition to Susan, we have Byron Morrow (Admiral Komak) and Vic Perrin (the Halkan Ambassador) as other togaed Martians. And all in the same shot!

Robert Lansing and Kathie Browne as the sympathetic bad guy and his wife in a 1968 episode of Ironside airing on Decades right now.

Kathie Browne was back on Ironside this morning. Guesting right now on the non-TOS front: Chief Ironside, don't make him angry...you wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Watched a Mission: Impossible last night (1x8, "The Ransom") that had no less than six TOS guests:
  • William Smithers (main baddie who breaks the format by giving Briggs a ransom mission)
  • Vic Tayback (uncredited goon)
  • Eddie Paskey (uncredited IMF operative)
  • Don Marshall (police officer)
  • Michael Barrier (intern)
  • Jack Donner (uncredited driver; the only one I didn't spot myself, but read online that he was in it)

Yep. In addition to his lineless role in the mission, I think his more important role in the episode was to make Willy look a little more interesting by standing behind him.

(Well, that shot some of my ammo for the review....)

Last night's Get=Smart-for-Dinner was "I Shot 86 Today" (golf joke), and it featured Sharon Acker as Control's "Q", giving Max his exploding golf balls - after she finished exercising for her burlesque show.

There's no time travel per se in the film. And all the effects appear to be opticals, not CGI. And the Amiga's graphics were too low-res for motion picture film.

In the long life of this thread, has anyone mentioned the episode of Kung Fu ("A Small Beheading," 3x3 in airdate order, 3x4 production-wise) that guest stars the Shat as a colorfully whiskered and accented sea captain, and reunites him with France Nuyen in the role of his wife?

I'm sure I did many many pages ago. I've often posted this picture of them together, saying it was Kirk and Elaan after using the guardian of Forever to escape all the hubbub and settle down int he past.

I thought that his Cap'n Shat look and being married to her seemed familiar.

Ironside is on Decades again this weekend, and the Shat is on right now. Also guesting Roger C. Carmel.
