Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Can't they just rebuild the Son'a ships in CGI? Surely they had to do that all the older ships. Or is it because at least a physical model existed of them?
Like how did they make the CGI for the USS Jenolan? Go get the original model from whoever bought it at the Christie's Auction in 2006??
Yes, that's my understanding as well, that there have been a number of models where no CGI data was available and was custom built for Eaglemoss.

Never much cared for the Son'a ships, personally. But some of the best models of the collection have been of ships I didn't have on my radar. I like the greebling details on the ship @Captain of the USS Averof links to above. So yeah, maybe it would make for an awesome Eaglemoss model.

For the most part it's been pretty good for me. I'm still missing a couple issues and the Franklin is also MIA. My greatest concern is that their definition of "Special Editions", "Limited Editions" and "Shop Exclusives" are now completely meaningless. Ever since the large-scale TOS-E (still only listed as a Shop Exclusive) was set up to be sent out to subscribers as a Special Edition last month, none of their listings make sense. I've resigned myself to manually canceling anything coming that I already purchased from the store should it happen again with the oversize E-D or E-E.

I just got issues 102 & 103 yesterday. I seem to be missing issues 88, 89, 95, 97, and 99. The last "Special Issue" I got was the Jellyfish. I did get the Large Scale Enterprise, No bloody A, B, C, D, or E.

As a subscriber, I really do think that regardless if it is a special edition, a limited edition, or a shop exclusive, it should be auto shipped to me. I subscribe so i don't have to worry about ordering or missing out on a limited edition. They should make it clearer on what is happening.

I tried phoning customer service again; got the same line "we'll ship them out as soon as they're back in stock". My first skipped ship was the NX-Alpha and that was a year ago. How long does it take to get back in stock? The woman told me "probably by the end of the month". We'll see (I kinda doubt it)

So far i'm missing #84 (NX Alpha), #89 (Ent-J), #93 (Horizon), #97 (Academy Trainer), #98 (Rhode Island) & #99 (Arctic One). Didn't get the Jellyfish either so far.

And I wholeheartedly agree with Sans above, that they need to be clearer on specials and limited editions. I'm having a hard enough time keeping track of these "back order" ships that i'm losing all perspective on when exclusives are made available and supposed to arrive.

From Las Vegas
Discovery line will start in 2018 with Discovery & Shenzou. One ship a month.
Possibly more ships in Discovery than any other series.
Hope to have prototypes by New York Comic Con.

Scale is the larger than the standard issues, less than the jumbos. Pricing to be determined & will be separate from the existing sub.

Existing series
116 USS Curry
117 Ferengi missed which one
118 Freedom class
119 Hirogen Holoship
120 Bozeman
121 Xhosa

Maybe able to know something about extension by NYCC

I've subscribed since issue 1 and I've loved the collection- getting all the specials and larger sized vessels as well as the shuttles. but I've got to say, as excited as I am, I'm not sure my wife will let me have another subscription

This might be of interest to everyone: http://trekcore.com/blog/2017/08/ex...obinson-eaglemoss-star-trek-discovery-models/ - you've already got some info posted, but there's even more :D

To Summarise;

  • The ST: DSC line will be a separate subscription offered to all subscribers starting in the 1st qtr of next year at 1 ship (with mag) per month (7 - 8 inches)
  • Mega ships will probably go to 12 with all enterprises, defiant, voyager
  • Waiting for the next kelvin movie before they do the Enterprise A from beyond as they might change it
  • Upcoming concept ships; Proto Ent-C, Phase II Ent, Original Voyager study model
  • If Titan and Aventine do well there will be other soft canon ships (The Odyssey was mentioned)
  • For Specials the klingon destroyer from the 2009 film, Kobayashi Maru and the Beyond Enterprise.
  • Kelvin set of shuttles
  • Spacedock extremey likely
  • Announcement on extension at NYCC (extremely likely though)

*faints*

....
Comments:
1) So, how long do we have to wait for the new E-A then? What if there is no ST4?
2) The soft-canon Odyssey is none other than the Enterprise-F! I'd love to have all** the Enterprises and their variations.
3) I wonder if the BSG collection is still being pursued.
**Excluding appearances in TNG: "Parallels".

Yeah, my wife let out a big sigh when I told her.

Can't wait for the Curry! :D

The Freedom class might be a little basic, but will be a nice addition to the Wolf 359 collection obviously.

I think of those 6 (116-121) I'd get the 3 Starfleet ships and maybe the Hirogen Holoship. Not really bothered about the Ferengi ENT ship or the Xhosa

I haven’t said anything to my wife about it, but I’m not sure I even want to sign up for another subscription.

Can you order the models (with out without the magazine) somewhere without getting a subscription? I'd love to get my hands on the Titan and Aventine when they're released.

You can order directly from Eaglemoss at shop.eaglemoss.com, but they don't always have every ship in stock. Usually about half of the ships are in stock.
