News Discovery Twitter & Social Media Thread

I know this is a Twiiter thread but I follow many on various social media...........I am starting to feel pretty sure that Michelle Yeoh may only survive a few episodes. I can not see any posts from Toronto in about 6 weeks. She has been globe trotting from Singapore to France the past few weeks shooting Crazy Rich Asians and doing press at Cannes. Of course they could have shot a ton of her scenes up front while they had her if she had prior commitments, then do pick ups and more when she's done shooting in Singapore. Anyone else got insight? Shame if she does exit early.
 
They gave one of their main characters the ability to sense "death". I'm pretty sure they are going to milk that with several "shocking" twists and deaths. Every show does it (sadly). So, yeah, I don't expect Michelle Yeoh to stick around for long :/

You know, now that you mention it, I'm going to change the title of the thread to a general Twitter and social media thread so people feel free to post Facebook and Instagram and other stuff too.

Good observation about Michelle Yeoh. It will be a shame if she gets killed off, because I really like her, but I had a feeling they were bringing in big guest actors like her and Jason Isaacs to get killed off Game of Thrones-style.

I was going to suggest maybe a title change--thanks for being proactive on that. I am hoping for a longer run for Jason Isaacs, I have feeling as well that what we saw in the trailer is all from the first 30 minutes of episode 1. Chris Obi has also wrapped for a few weeks but I think he will be back for more. It is interesting trying to glean some info from all these moving parts.

Hm, usually I'd say her not being there for a while doesn't necessarily mean anything, since the schedules sometimes require certain actors to not be around for a bit. But 6 weeks is a long time for a series that's still being filmed.

George Takei was just on AM Joy, primarly to talk about the social media trolls attacking Discovery for "white genocide."

I wonder if this means Isaacs has seen those Cage uniforms on set recently and is in mind of them or whether he is merely versed in TOS history.

He also posted a caption contest with Kirk from What Are Little Girls Made Of? where he said he's been going through TOS episodes for research purposes. So it's more likely he saw The Cage or WNMHGB in his recent binge watching.
