Top 5 nerd arguments of all time?

You should pick your favorites and not just the ones you think are the most famous. Here is my list:

1 Did Greedo shoot first. History may of have forgotten the name "Greedo" if it wasn't for Lucas trying to pander to children of the late 90's. If kids can handle nursery rhymes and Bambi's mom being killed they can handle a green alien being shot by a ray gun.
2 Were Xena and Gabriel lovers or just really great friends. I prefer the lovers option myself because it's progressive for women and the lesbian community and sexy for me. Plus it allows you to look for hidden subtext instead of taking everything, straightforward.
3 Is "Discovery" in the prime universe,Kelvin universe or a 3rd universe. A brand new nerd argument and it has moved up the charts very fast.
4 DId "DS9" still idea's from "Babylon 5." I find this argument even more fun than the argument over which show is better since IMO they were both, great. JMS though has made the argument I believe that when he pitched his idea that the studio took some of his idea's and basically had them transferred over to "DS9."
5 Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas. Brilliant creative minds or guys with a couple of good idea's who got some luck and needed help by even more talented people to make them into Nerd Gods?

1. Greedo shot first.
2. Xena ? Never sullied my T.V. screen with the crap.
3.Discovery - who knows ?
4. DS9 ? Who cares - B5 is remarkable in some respects, but nowhere near DS9.
5. Roddenberry and Lucas - two under talented guys that got really lucky with a couple of great projects.

Don't forget the whole bumby forehead Klingons silliness.
I've always been more intrigued by the bumpy Romulan foreheads. Why did anyone do that? They aren't so different that it make Romulans look completely different and it wasn't like Vulcans were going to be a big deal on "TNG" so what was the point?

Jason

Isn't Greedo a one sided argument for nerds? I haven't met any nerd who feels anyone but Han shot first, except for Lucas himself.

How about Angel or Spike? PC, Mac or Linux?

The top Nerd Argument of All-Time has to be Best Captain: Kirk vs. Picard.

I feel like Joel vs. Mike has to be in that conversation, too. Christ, some of the flamewars on Usenet back in the day were just shocking to read.

Other top nerd arguments, off the top of my head:

- Best / worst Batman
- OMG CAN GHOSTBUSTERS BE WOMEN?!?!?!
- Battlestar Galactica's ending of "God did it"
- Prometheus: Yea or nay?
- The mere existence of Zack Snyder

The top Nerd Argument of All-Time has to be Best Captain: Kirk vs. Picard.

That's topped by Star Trek vs.Star Wars (or sub categories of "Stronger fleet" / "Best weapons" / "Better heroes" etc.). And how can we forget the earliest nerd argument--perhaps the Mount Rushmore of nerd battles: the 50+ year battle of DC vs. Marvel, which rages on to this day, whether they are debating the comics, individual characters, cartoons, movies/TV and even toy lines.

Any "who could beat who" superhero business, especially that which crosses companies. See in particular arguments that Batman can beat anybody, including God, if he has "time to prepare."

Discovery? Oh yeah, that thing that's not even out yet. The answer lies in one word- wait

Xena and Gabrielle: I truly believe they were lovers. The amount of love they had for each other... The devotion... They went to Hell (literally) and back for each other. Pretty much everyone involved in the show thought they were together.

Buffy vs Xena: I really don't know. Thought about it but it's a close call. It would be fun to watch though.

Angel or Spike: I'm a Spike fan all the way. He loved Buffy. Even before he had a soul he tried to be good for her. He wanted his soul back, unlike Angel who was cursed with his.
