Bummer. Well, maybe next book. I am curious to see what kind of adventures the Hrumog might have.

I'm hoping for enough boks to get the series renamed Star Trek: Enterprise - PikeI am waiting for enough books to have Archer get voted in as President.

But I'm confused with the cover. Wasn't Trip supposed to be unrecognizable after he was altered to look Romulan?
That was years ago. He's been through several identities since then.
As of the last book, he's been on Pioneer with Malcolm and Travis. Going under and assumed name. I seem to remember a physical description, but I can't recall at the moment, that described him as different then "Original" Trip. Of course, I really would like the idea of him going back to his regular features after he was done under cover. That was years ago. He's been through several identities since then.

Wouldn't make much sense to go back to your original face if you want to remain "dead", though, wouldn't it?
Damn, what is going on with the covers lately? The concept for this is good but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The editing around Trip and blending into the rest of the picture is really rough, and then we have the weird red tint on him, which doesn't really fit the rest of the picture. If it were me I also would have toned down the fog or smoke in the background.Wow, never thought Doug Drexler could create a truly awful cover, but he did for this novel:
