The New Klingons

All we have seen so far is what they look like and what they wear.
Many of the writers will have nothing to with that. The show runners, producers and design team will be responsible for that.
Maybe the design team are all 20somethings that have never watched Star Trek.

Klingons aren't real, so the design team can make them look anyway they want. They've changed from series to series, sometimes characters have changed from season to season. It doesn't need a reason, it's just the evolution of a design. It's just a TV show, relax.

Fans of any fandom will always be in a uproar about change. They can't deal with it. Two years from now, except for a few hardliners, no ones gonna care. It's not a big deal, unless you make it a big deal. And if this is a big deal for you, I wonder how you tackle realworld problems.

Great words of wisdom! I have seen this in fandoms. Changes come then there is a big meltdown/uproar at first but then when the show or movie comes out things begin to settle down. It's like the stages of grief and eventually people reach the point of acceptance.
Oh the inappropriate possibilities
I felt that way about Enterprise. I didn't think Enterprise needed the Klingons on it at all. And maybe, if they just had to be on there, cover a disastrous first contact in the series finale.
As for Discovery, not too impressed with the Klingon makeup or overall design. If these are ancient Klingons or maybe even the Hur'q, then it works better for me. But still I wish the show would go in another direction. At least Enterprise gave us the Suliban and Xindi.
For Discovery I would like to see the Tholians more. And there's the Orion Syndicate out there. And even the Nausicaans. The Romulans could always be in the shadows. And also the Sheliak. But I would be fine with them creating a new adversary as well.
