The warp engines sure look federation-esque

That design sure looks like similar to this one.....

And there is another ship in the Triangle that is very similar( just missing the huge NCC on the side).

Some fan done schematics say that's a sensor package. So maybe this this a science vessel. We never saw the Ariel in "The Eye of the Beholder" (script says SS but the crew uniforms are the standard Starfleet delta so it probably was really U.S.S.) maybe it had similar elements. Or maybe this is a type of drone ship that Starfleet sent to investigate the phenomenon. Does't really look like there's windows or anything.

Scaling-wise the ship appears to be about 30 meters in length, if it is as it appears, to be fairly close to the D-7 (which is in the foreground) as it passes in front of it. I would tend to think that this is some kind of small survey vessel, and the "roll bar" contains science instrumentation/sensor pods- otherwise the configuration and styling is not dissimilar to Federation shuttlecraft.

Well as accurate as you can be for something that didn't have plans or even really dimensions to begin with :-) Looks good!

Lord Other: I don't mind you posting the blueprints; I didn't design this ship! I made those blueprints around the turn of the century when the first clear images of Huron appeared –– on trading cards. I was actually able to see the name and registry number. What a modern time we lived in.

I'm surprised there isn't one, considering that unlike the other two, this ship is clearly Federation/Starfleet with the huge "NCC" and what looks like "NCC-11" on the nacelle.

With better sales of the previous works, Mark Wilson would probably have gotten there eventually.

Heh. Perhaps the lone NCC without an actual number means we see a "truncated" ship? That is, this is the tug for a long train of cargo, now confiscated for use as Delta Triangle habitats or whatnot, and the registry would have spilled over to the first container.
