Are New Aliens Going to Be a Problem?

The TV show Star Trek: Enterprise got into trouble for being a prequel show and they introduced new aliens with make up that was made in the first couple of years of the 21st century vs. the late 1960's.

LIke Rogue One, I suggest that the producers do a relatively equal percentage of things that would be from TOS, new style aliens, and new aliens that look like they would have been made as a continuation from the 1960's show.

Using the same techniques as they did in the 60s would look awful. I actually like what the reboot films did. Have a blend of aliens we've seen before, some of whom were tweaked and some new ones using makeup and CG effects that would have been impossible a few years ago. Even subtle things like the alien nurse in the Kelvin scene with the large eyes. I'd prefer the crew of the ship(s) to have a large number of aliens serving instead of a bunch of humans and a few token aliens wandering around.

It would be neat if they brought in some of the aliens from the Kelvin time line and explored them.

There will be complaints, regardless, but I have no problem with new aliens.

People are going to whine regardless but it's a big galaxy. Of course there are aliens we haven't seen. So in my opinion, more power if they show new races.

What I would like to see is some of the Federation worlds we don't know about. In the 24th century there are hundreds of worlds in the Federation, yet we only know about 10 of them or so it seems.

I'd be upset if we didn't get new aliens. I just hope they get a little more creative with them. Hopefully the budget doesn't limit them to the typical ear or nose make up type stuff. Maybe a few aliens that use hybrid of puppets/CGI for the more wild stuff.

DS9 should never had joked about it either, because acknowledging it then made the change an in universe thing instead of a retcon

I want a character sort of like Kyle on TOS or O'Brien on TNG who doesn't necessarily have a large role but provides a regular familiar face, and have this character be fully digital (or Farscape-style puppet if it would be cheaper.)
