That was...nebulous.You said it not me..
How about this-how about you tell me what to write so I don't offend? I like that plan. I don't have to think.

Isn't it obvious? You're supposed to write about how all the things you didn't like about the show are just trite nitpicky observations and that you are actually very smug and judgemental for making those observations in the first place...That was...nebulous.

I'm the master of trite and nitpickyIsn't it obvious? You're supposed to write about how all the things you didn't like about the show are just trite nitpicky observations and that you are actually very smug and judgemental for making those observations in the first place...
Didn't we just do this episode?
This thread is getting more like Voyager all the time.
Try me.You couldn't keep up with me, lol. I just think things have become repetitive. Like spam. The stuff regurgitated was said by the same people several times.
You don't have to write that it is self-evident. As for this episode every page has been like thisIsn't it obvious? You're supposed to write about how all the things you didn't like about the show are just trite nitpicky observations and that you are actually very smug and judgemental for making those observations in the first place...

Or if your creative team isn't cranking out paint-by-the-numbers formula-based screenplays that apply a veneer of sophistication for sophistication's sake.
You do not, for example, need an "empty universe" to remember that your ship has a finite number of photon torpedoes. Unfortunately, "We've run out of photon torpedoes and need to find a way to replace them" doesn't fit the Star Trek formula, so they didn't bother.
"We've run out of raw material for the replicators and need to find a new source..." Nope.
"We have a giant hole in the side of the ship and we don't have enough METAL to patch it..." Nah.
"The Hirogen gutted half the ship and turned it into a giant holodeck and now we have to hot bunk because our ship is basically hollow now..." Meh. We'll put it back together by next episode. Don't ask us where we're going to get the new bulkheads, new conduits, bio-neural gelpacks or light fixtures... we've got replicators, or something.
Let's do a story about time traveling telepathic body snatchers instead.
Thank youOkay you asked for it so please don't get precious and throw me to the moderator if you don't like my attempt. Here is what you can write so you don't offend, well not offend just for the sake of offending.
Say what you mean and mean what you say.. oh I don't know once, twice or maybe three times in the same thread. No that does not mean three times on each page, lol. When the fires have died down think about the integrity of the next critique you are going to pluck up out of the air versus the affect of being simply contrary and getting a reaction. Then look deep and ask yourself is any of this going to change my experience or my evaluation of Voyager? The answer will be no. There I've given you the answer.
You're welcome.
I am not too keen on the idea of self-building starships, no. When the Enterprise-D got thrashed by the Borg, they had to put into space dock for a few weeks just to make all those repairs. What, we're expected to believe they can't fix the ship and need external aid for every little thing?
Well, an episode where a crippled and nearly-defenseless Voyager had to find a way to restore itself after being eviscerated by the Hirogen and getting nothing but trouble in the process would have at least MADE SENSE. More than that, if done right, it would have been a pretty awesome story.Holo projectors are little.. everyone knows that.
Shame about the deck reconstruction episode though, that would have been thrilling TV.
Exactly. They sound like regular episodes without the word repairs in them..
We're going around in circles. Each of us is brining our own perspectives to the debate. So here is a question.
Imagine yourself onboard Voyager in that situation how would you react, faced with a seventy or so year journey with a very real possibility that you would never see friends or loved ones again?
