Instead of trying to find a thread to post when new TAS review episodes come out I thought I'd just create one! I will post when we release new episodes (normally bi-monthly). And you can check out the whole back catalog (including interviews with D.C. Fontana, Walter Koeing and Bob Kline (Filmation artist)

New Saturday Morning Trek!
"Spock, Sub-Mariner"
Review of "The Ambergris Element"

Aaron & Adam and special guest Joe Slepski host of the "Joe on Joe, a G.I. Joe Podcast" grab a bowl of Boo-Berry cereal and review "The Ambergris Element".

What happens when Kirk and Spock are made into waterbreathers by an undersea race, and the venom of a deadly sea snake is the only antidote to return them to their normal selves? Underwater adventure of course!

We talk about the newest shuttle to grace the overfilled shuttle bay, the Aquashuttle and it's companion the scouter-gig, the Enterprise's equivalent to a bass fishing boat, we wrestle with ethical dilemmas like cultural preservation and transporter ethics and along the way discuss The Man from Atlantis, the Heavy Metal the Movie, and Irwin Allen's "Earthquake."

So grab a snorkel and some fins and swim on in for "The Ambergris Element."

That is awesome! I love TAS and all it's silliness! I do a Star Trek podcast with my friend David. The show is called Synthaholics.

We have talked about a few TAS episodes as well.

I've added it my queue! Tomorrow I have to edit though :-)

GeekFilter: I just found out about your Saturday Morning podcast and I'm excited to hear that you've talked with Robert Kline, who designed some of my favorite ships: USS Huron and the Robot Grain Ship!!! Since seeing them in the 70s I've been trying to find out more about how big these ships are supposed to be. Did you ask Mr. Kline about their size? Is there any way to get a blueprint of USS Huron? (The robot grain ship appear very close to Enterprise, so it's size is pretty clear, and the Roddenberry Facebook page posted a blueprint of it but not of Huron.)

Responding in the message you sent right now - sorry things got crazy for the last few weeks. Wasn't even able to get the show out this week!

April was sort of crazy for me (and Adam and Joe!) but there still was technically 2 episodes this month. Just at the very beginning and very end! Enjoy!

New Saturday Morning Trek! (and our April Fools episode)
"Laser Cats"
Review of "The Slaver Weapon"

Aaron Harvey and returning guest co-host Joe Slepski review the only original series episode, live action or animated, not to feature Captain Kirk, "The Slaver Weapon". Written by sci-fi literary master Larry Niven this animated story combines his ‘Known Space’ universe with the Star Trek universe, well kind of.

Some of the probing questions Aaron and Joe ask are: Is Starfleet stealing stasis boxes from the planet Kzin? Is Uhura really remorseless killer? And were the Slavers, the species that conquered the galaxy a billion years ago really just a Scooby-Doo villain? Grab a box of Pink Panther Flakes (yes, that was a real cereal in 1973) and join us as we watch pink suited space cats try to defeat our heroes with outdated laser guns.

"Friend Fett!"
Episode 100 of A Star Wars Holiday Podcast!

Aaron & Joe have saved the jewel in the crown of the Star Wars Holiday special for our 100th episode..the animated short "The Faithful Wookie"!

Learn about the animation company, Nelvana, find out what children's TV show the voice of Boba Fett was on and Aaron and Joe may have stumbled onto a theory that could change the way everyone at Force fm sees Star Wars.

So buckle in, it's going to be a crazy Y-Wing ride!

Thanks, off to check out out The Slaver Weapon podcast now

Your April 1st podcast was a classic - so many little garnishes struck just the right balance.

Thanks! I was really lucky to get Tristian (former "To the Journey Host" and voice of "Previously on Trek.fm") to record the "Previously on Force.fm" and the Dayton Ward bit was icing on the cake!

I have bene remiss about posting at Trek BBS but this has a nice cross over between TAS and DSC.

New Saturday MorningTrek!
“Carroll & Claws”
Supplemental 3.

In this third Saturday Morning Trek supplemental Aaron Harvey is joined by Dr. Trek himself, Larry Nemecek to discuss the influences of the animated series on the new Star Trek: Discovery and how Star Trek the Motion Picture wasn't the first time the idea of redesigning the Klingons was broached.
So grab a bowl of Franken Berry cereal, a tribble and and anything else pink and join us in the wood paneled den!
Be sure to listen to the end for a time sensitive Portal 47 announcement!

I hope you discuss the Blish and Foster novelizations, and the Bantam Trek novels.

Kor
Yes probably after the final episode so we can compare the whole of the series. And to give me more time to get through them all!

Can't wait to listen to this - when I heard about the Alice in Wonderland connection I actually laughed out loud! It's glorious that TAS is being honoured in this fashion

I realize you were joking as to Gene's memos and the comment about SAG and SEG not having suitable candidates to pay aliens, but just to be clear that's a common Gene joke about how hard the show was to make because you couldn't call round to central casting to get non-humans, so you had to spend money to try to make humans into aliens. The said the same kind of thing about wardrobe, etc. The show was expensive because you couldn't just use stock props, costumes, humans, etc. a lot of the time.
