Original Mass Effect question.

Hey I'm replaying the original Mass Effect. Playing on PC with keyboard / mouse.

Is there a way to get the camera to follow with the Mako as you drive instead of having to drive and swing the mouse around to keep everything in perspective? I never solved this issue even when I first played it and it's a pain in the butt to drive the car with W S A D on the left hand and using the mouse to keep the camera centered so you can see the actual path you are travelling.

^Not that I'm aware of, no. Mostly I think it's that way because the camera control is also for targeting the weapons turret.

Yeah I know right...... It's not the best vehicle in a video game. I hate the lava planet.

Oh and my machine guns don't work arrrrrgh

Really speaking you need that situational awareness because you're often being shot at and need to shoot back at things that're aren't directly in front of you.
I never had trouble with it myself, it just takes a little finesse. It also helps if you learn to use the thrusters to aid in cornering.

Oh and it's great for power levelling: just set the difficulty to 'insanity' and whenever you come across an enemy, use the autogun to whittle it's health down to almost nothing, hop out, finish it off on foot and watch the XP roll in. Works best with the Geth Armature, the Colossus, turrets and most especially, the thresher maws!
For those that didn't notice: you get *much* less XP for killing enemies while in the Mako than when you're not.
