This weeknd, April 1st, will see the debut of STC's anticipated Ep. 8, "Still Treads The Shadow" after a lot of uncertainty due to the Axanar debacle. All signs point to STC completing their remaining run of episodes in the form and running times they had always planned without running afoul of CBS.

:techman:

We don't know much beyond the title of this episode, but soon we'll be able to discuss something new in classic Trek.

Looking forward to it (goes without saying). But why-oh-why mention that "other thing" in the same breath.
There was understandably a lot of anxiety from the lawsuit and uncertainty over the subsequent guidelines. STC is a prominent player in the fan production community and to see them go forward is a positive and reassuring sign for other productions for the future.

I kinda wish Indiegogo backers would get to view the episode a day early. After the long wait, I'm getting a tad bit impatient!

So that about two or three hours before Eastern time...I think.

From STC Facebook post:

We will be warping Ep 8 "Still Treads the Shadow" to your coordinates. It will be released to Indiegogo backers on Saturday, April 1st at Noon PDT. It will be posted on YouTube and Vimeo for the public on Sunday, April 2nd at Noon PDT. Please -- no spoilers for the first week to ensure everyone received and viewed.

I just watched it. I'm going to wait on giving my opinions until everyone else has had a chance to see it.

The only thing I'm going to mention is they're still having problems getting Chuck Huber's hair piece to look right.

It would kind of be nice to be able to talk about it right away, but they were pretty clear in their email about not spoiling it for others. Any thought I expressed, no matter how vague or coy, could probably still be construed as at least a little spoilery.

Wow. Everything I had hoped it would be when I heard about it. A Vic showcase episode. He shined. I really enjoyed Rekha Sharma. She did a fantastic job. The special effects were very well done. Will hold anything specific for awhile. Looking forward to watching it with my wife on Sun on the 70 inch :)
