"Night on Disco Mountain" and "A Fifth of Beethoven" -- nothing says "intellectual" like adding a disco beat to classical music!
And nothing says "intellectual" like snarkily lumping all the creative work of an era under the umbrella of a dance club music craze of the period.

It's a fair cop. To be completely honest, I owned both the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and Walter Murphy's first album. I actually like both pieces, and they led me to appreciate the original classical pieces. But a prime chance for a good snark was irresistible... :D

At least, iirc, there was no Disco Star Trek
But Disco Star Wars.....oy!

I danced with high school friends to the 15-minute cut of Meco's Star Wars. It was what you did in the 70s...

These, “haters” have been trying to cast doubt on Axanar and Peters for the last 13 months.

I am NOT a hater. But I am AN OBJECTIVE ADVOCATE expressing respectful dissent against the hidden picture of what is going on.

I guess Alec will never get it. You can't build Amazon to sell products contracted exclusive to Macys.

Especially, if like him, you don't actually know how to "build Amazon". Or anything stable, really.
