Jayson, you just did join a Trek club And teh big advantage is that due to the time difference between our respective countries there's always someone here to chat with.
Jayson and the Stargonauts sounds like a cool idea for a fanfic to me!
As for the prozac: have a word with your doc. It's a rather rare side effect and he should either reduce the dose till this side effect stops or change you to a different chemical alltogether. I'd recommend the latter.

They did change it up and I haven't had a panic attack in a couple of years now.
As for a Stargonaut I got to admit i'm not sure what that is.

A stargonaut is just a contraction of star-argonaut. In Greek mythology, Jason and his friends went out for adventures on the ship Argo, hence they were called the Argonauts (lit.: the drivers/sailors of Argo). It's a rather thrilling story and might make a good basis for a series of space adventures by a modern Jason and his starship crew. You could build in a lot of crossovers to Trek and other SciFi.
I think the idea might have a certain potential.

You got to be real careful with Prozac. With me it started giving me panic attacks so bad I could barely leave the house. I went impatient alot because of it. Do you ever feel paranoid around people? If so it might be that drug.

Not at all. My mood has been stable all these years because of it. People respond to antidepressants and other meds in different ways. My dad could never get accustomed to it, so he stopped taking Zoloft when he was first given the prescription. He's doing okay for the most part, but he too has an anxiety disorder.

We call it fluoxetine here, and I was on it to treat three different things. But it just zonked me out entirely to the point where yes I couldn't feel depressed, anxious or enact my OCD, but nothing else either, so I just had to stop using it because it was practically a high powered tranquiliser.

I hope you feel better Coco Pops. I can relate. I'm a super fat 40 year old virgin with no friends. Life seems unfair at times. the best way I would suggest to handle is find something you love and try to achieve it as best you can. Sometimes just trying is enough. You don't even have to be good at what you love to do. the effort is it's own reward.

I'm happy with my appearance as such, and I do enough things to be busy. It's just those odd days like I described where things happen and it just kicks the wind out of your sails.

I see a therapist. For me though I have always prefered things that are intresting over things that are dignified. I have hard time taking anything in life to serious. We are going to die anyways so nothing really matters that much in the end other than what impact you have on others. It really effects how I interact with people. even when I get mad I have a hard time staying mad because I can't even take my anger all that seriously because it always ends up feeling silly. I have literally cracked jokes in a middle of arguments for no other reason than the fact that yelling and whatnot started to feel boring.

Are you taking something different now? If you can manage your symptoms pretty well, then you don't have to be on antidepressants. Mine has become a maintenance drug of sorts, just like my diabetes and cholesterol meds.

A lot of people feel they way about something they can't change. For me, I went bald at 26 which kind of made me look menacing/skinhead typish, which is the first impression people have of me.

That's intense. It's all about the diet, I'm sure you've done your research by now, but what I've learned over the years is that it's all about cutting carbs out and processed foods. It can be hard to keep track of, but basically if you stick to food that occurs naturally in the wild, then you'll get much healthier.

I know about the carbs but I got to admit I have never been good at changing my eating habits. I feel life is to short to give up on stuff you like. Plus there is always the issue that healthy food is usually expensive. I think that is a issue that has been ignored for way to long. The exercise stuff has been easier in the past. There was a time when I was walking 2 hours a day. That plus a job plus masturbation means I was burning alot of calories.

I do have something of a plan though with food. I have been eaten alot of boiled eggs which is good for you and canned fruit as a snack. Plus less fast food.

Try buckwheat, it's cheap, very easy to make and super healthy, takes care of all of your carb needs and it's okay to eat lots of it. Tons of benefits too.

I cut out all processed food in my diet and I feel so much better. Used to have all kinds of stomach problems but they went away. Coco Pops and Jason, I really hope you guys feel a while lot better. I have struggled with bipolar disorder for 25 years. I know what depression feels like and I know what wanting to die feels like. If you feel bad, you can always talk.
