The Expanse: Season 3

The best space based scifi show ever is renewed for season 3.

I'm not sure which book it will cover but this is great for the genre.

I'd imagine latter half of Caliban's War in the first five (as we got the latter half of Leviathan's Wake in Season One), and then accelerate through Abaddon's Gate in the back eight - leaving Cibola Burn for a fourth season as it's one arc that you can't really overlap with elements from the other and the events necessitate a pretty hefty time-jump that would look out of place in the middle of a season.

Way too much happens in "Abbadon's Gate" for them to compress it down to eight episodes, IMO.

At the pace they've been going it'll take them at least three episodes just to GET to neptune, and two or three more just to get to Medina Station and have the gun fight that locks down the slow zone. And that's the point where the story REALLY begins, with al the gritty/angsty drama that the TV series has been pushing for this entire time. The bloody aftermath of the lockdown, the ploy to get the Martians to surrender, the coup against Ashford to spin up the Behemoth, the counter-coup when Ashford tries to take it over, Clarissa's attack on the Roci, the battle to capture Behemoth from Ashford's people... that could drag on for at least eight episodes all by itself.
