Species no longer exist 31st century?

So in one of the timeline's Lucsly and Dulmur visit I believe in the Collectors novella there are multiple Interspecies relationships and Jena Noi is apparently a mix of Vulcan, Ocampan, and multiple other species.

So are the bounds of species no longer so distinct and how long of a process did this take?

Authorial imput would be appreciated!

I don't understand the question. Mixed-species characters have been a standard element of Star Trek ever since TOS's second pilot established that Spock had a human ancestor. We've seen many mixed-species individuals since, including Deanna Troi, K'Ehleyr, Alexander Rozhenko, Tora Ziyal, B'Elanna Torres, and Naomi Wildman. Enterprise's "Future Tense" established that the deceased 31st-century temporal agent had DNA from several different species. It makes perfect sense that if biracial individuals were common in the 24th century, they'd occasionally intermix and produce offspring with even more species in their background. Although I did state that Jena Noi's admixture was complex and exotic even by the standards of her own time.

I don't understand the question.

Now I could be wrong, but from what I can tell from his OP, he's asking if any species have managed to shag themselves out of existence and how long did that actually take to happen.

Just look at present-day Earth. Human cultures have been interbreeding from the start without erasing the boundaries between the different phenotypes.
Species are even more populous. I don't think Horta would be gone because too many Humans had fun with them.

There's that one scene where an injured Dulmur is being treated and the medical officials of the 31st century react with amusement and shock at the concept of a "baseline human". That was rather disturbing to me. Are there NO pure blood humans left in that time?

Although that same scene also mentioned "traditionalist colonies". So maybe that's where they are.

Precisely my question

What a silly question.

There's that one scene where an injured Dulmur is being treated and the medical officials of the 31st century react with amusement and shock at the concept of a "baseline human". That was rather disturbing to me. Are there NO pure blood humans left in that time?

What an utterly backward and disgusting viewpoint, that kind of world view is abhorrent in 2017, let alone in the late 24th Century.

So not only have humans mixed with other species, have they been augmented genetically and cybernetically?

Why wouldn't they? People already walk around with tattoos, piercings, watches and iPhones. Combining that is only the next step and will be mundane a generation within its introduction.

Really, the genome should be up for grabs.

Possibly from a real world view point, but from a Trek in universe stand point, there is a ban on human (and probably other species) augmentation which has been in place for centuries.

As for technological attachments, Geordi had his VISOR and then his cybernetic eyes and to be honest, for the treatment/control of my diabetes, I have two pieces of tech connected at all times.
