I don't feel any great need for a Superman series -- he's had more episodic TV (and radio) adventures than any other superhero and I don't really need more of the same. It might be interesting if they embraced the fact that this is an older, more veteran Superman who's already gone through most of his standard story threads (Lex is put away, James and Cat have moved on, he's with Lois and she knows his identity), but what we've seen suggests that they're just sticking with a pretty standard version despite that (Clark is still a field reporter cowed by Perry White, instead of, say, the Planet's news editor or something). I would definitely like to see more of Hoechlin's Superman as a guest on Supergirl, but I don't need another weekly Superman show. Although I'd be okay with an animated CW Seed miniseries.
