Well, the big stuff at least, I guess. Seem to remember them not doing so well at radiation poisoning. It's not like deactivating a bomb 5 seconds before it explodes. When you stop getting irradiated 5 minutes before lethal exposure, it's not the same as no exposure, curable. Just means you got really badly cooked, but aren't dead yet. That would be SOMETHING, but like I said, by the time you're falling down and bleeding from every orifice, permanent damage is done. Anti-rad meds may help, but can't imagine much. More helpful BEFORE the exposure, to try and limit absorption.IIRC, in the books he was on a permanent regimen of anti-radiation meds.
