That's another Slippery thing.

The production 'hired' an 'outside' Accountant to put the production accounts in order.

That completed account record was presented to the Court in sworn evidence as a true and accurate production accounting record by the defense.

The Plaintiffs refer to that Court entered evidence by the defense in following legal Court documents.

The Plaintiffs are then called liars for referencing the evidence on record given the Court by the defense.

And which is testified to by the defendant in legal record that the Accounting Record they submitted as evidence is being scrubbed by the defendant from mentioning parts of the Accounting Record to present to donors as a transparent record the production's accounts.

The production has now hired another accountant to sort all the notes and papers and things..... again? To get to the accounts to be factual.

Indicating what? That the sworn true and accurate Production Account File presented to the Court is now not considered to be true and accurate?

And the production or defendant is now setting up an Independent Financial Review Committee to review. To set the record straight for the donors.

And the Ind Fin Rev Com is to be made up from group of industry professionals and donors

Which then renders it an absolutely NOT Independent Financial Review Committee

It is independent of haters, expelled doubting donors, the judge, the IRS, the FTC, any consumer protection agencies, reporters, and C/P. That's what matters.

Mine too - I suspect anyone who posted links to court documents or maybe in my case he's making a stink that I posted an e-mail from him, IDK. What you want to do if file a support ticket asking KS the specifics as to why your account is under review. That's what I did (as well as asking why the 'Axanar Productions' ISN'T under review given the amount of spamming he did. I also requested any posts by Axanar productions referring to my account or account name be blocked until the review of my account is resolved one way or the other.)

In the end, I could care less as I've only ever used KS to back this project; but in the end, it's interesting to see Alec Peters claim we aren't acting like adults and it was our actions that "ruined refunds for everyone".

Again, the chain of events for me was:

Alec Peters sent me an e-mail at around 9:30 PM Monday night basically saying court documents can't be trusted and that he'd NEVER refund my Pledge - I saw and responded to the e-mail at around 11:47 PM last night - and because I found the situation hilarious - posted here and on the Axanar KS comments thread around 12:00 AM this morning.

I didn't think anything of it and at around 10:00 AM saw I had gotten e-mails on my phone. The first arrived around 8:30 AM stating various minor put downs in response to my put downs and that he was refunding my Pledge and I should see it sometime today; but if any of those getting refunds posted about it publically the deal was off. At around 9:00 AM there was a Paypal e-mail saying $75 had been paid to me and there was a third e-mail around 9:30 AM there was a final e-mail rescinding the refund because someone talked (again, not me as I didn't even notice/read these until 10:00 AM.

Plus when I checked the Axanar KS Chat, that and every post I made there in the last 4 days had been "removed by Kickstarter"; and when I attempted a test post - got the "Your account is Under review" notification; so there is no way I could have posted about the refund between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM as I didn't even know Alec had done one to me.

Now, here's the thing - since I don't know the situation of the other two people (IE how big a deal $75 or whatever they Pledged was to them) - so I WOULDN'T have posted. That said, since Alec Peters already rescinded the refunds, I came here and figured what the hell - and posted everything here:

Like I said in the e-mail, I really don't give a damn what most people think of me one way or the other. I'm human and put my foot in my mouth a lot; but who cares. Overall, I'm okay with myself and how I live and treat others; but I'm far from perfect and have made plenty of mistakes and have people who love/like/dislike or outright hate me. That's the result of living life over 53 years to date.

I will say it cracks me up when a 55 or so year old man seems to take pride/has zero issues constantly acting like a 10 year old (and if you're a 10 year old, sorry, you'll understand when you get older, unless you turn out like Alec Peters ;)); and has issues that not everyone loves/respects/admires him for whatever reason.

I think it's more likely they realized they can hardly call for sanctions on opposing counsel for inadvertently releasing the same information they did — unredacted — in their own motion for summary judgment.

I've had internal and external accountants. When you bring in an external accountant they only know the numbers you give them
When you have been through bankruptcy before you might have a good understanding of all the stuff you should have known you could have gotten away with before.
If people start tossing hundreds of thousands of dollars your way and you're only holding a script in one hand and a lawsuit in the other and start planning for that next bankruptcy.
You can audit Axanar's books all you want but you'll never know until you audit the books of all Axanar's recipients of that million plus dollars
