1. You don't think the right wing media wouldn't report every single instance they heard of?

2. I think we should ban men in parking lots. Lots of assaults happen there.
1. If there's no crime, there's nothing to report.
2. Men don't abuse a law meant to apply to minority to get into a parking lot.

1. People are discussing things on a discussion forum.

2. ...no. @Robert Maxwell didn't actually call you racist; he just said that you were using similar tactics through the use of metaphor.

3. I'm sorry, I thought we weren't supposed to be PC, and were supposed to call things as we saw them. :techman:
1. They're trying to change my opinion, which they have failed so far, which indicates that they either want me on their side or they can't handle an opposing view.
2. A metaphor is a comparison, meaning he was comparing me to a racist.
3. Yet when I give my opinion on an issue, as I see it, I get vilified on here by some people.

1. If there's no crime, there's nothing to report.

Lack of anything other than heresy doesn't stop the right wing machine. If women were complaining, they'd run with it. Which may tell you something, that maybe women aren't complaining, that maybe the vast majority don't care because it doesn't bother them.

It's funny, this continues to play as a frightened few who can't handle the realization that society is changing as we learn more about who we are.

It is the enraged negro on Cocaine raping white women all over again. Using fear to control an element some don't want to try to understand.

2. Men don't abuse a law meant to apply to minority to get into a parking lot.

But you said this was about safety and making sure women don't feel uncomfortable? Men can just order shit online. That way women are safe and feel comfortable.

Or is this more about the thought of an icky transgender person going into the women's restroom? Because reading your posts, it sure seems like far more of the latter.

I'm sorry, but I thought that sexual abuse was already a crime.

The abuse that you are referring to is so low as to be non-existent. That's what you're not grokking. There has been no widespread abuse of women by men in women's restrooms. There's been even less of trans women abusing cis women in restrooms. The law also was not changing until social conservatives decided to pass laws saying that you have to use the restroom that matches the sex on your birth certificate.

1. They're trying to change my opinion, which they have failed so far, which indicates that they either want me on their side or they can't handle an opposing view.
That's more of an indictment of you than them, frankly, given the disgusting nature of the views posted here.
2. A metaphor is a comparison, meaning he was comparing me to a racist.
Shockingly, the tactics and views of transphobes tends to be similar to racists.
3. Yet when I give my opinion on an issue, as I see it, I get vilified on here by some people.
Stop having awful opinions then? Not all opinions are valid or good.

If a transgender individual walking into a ladies' restroom to take a leak is one of the things that angers a person from the moment they wake up in the morning until they go to sleep again the next night then all I can say is: they are a sad, sad individual with a worldview so skewed, narrow and ignorant that I hope for their sakes that somebody else in their family helps raise any children they have and that person has more enlightened and tolerant opinions.

A child being raised by a parent who believes that we need state government action to keep transgenders from taking a leak in a toilet while we have hungry and homeless people suffering from lack of attention and resources means this country is in even deeper trouble than we think. And I'd like to think we as a society are getting away from that mindset.

I wonder how many meals the cost of reconvening the North Carolina Congress could've paid for?

To everybody on here, who does not agree with me on this issue. I might be in the minority on this website, but there are people who agree with me nationally and think that men should not follow women into the bathroom. As a result, the candidate who seems to agree with this will become the American President.

I'm pretty sure that at some point, President-Elect Trump said he didn't care.

http://www.nytimes.com/politics/fir...der-people-should-use-the-bathroom-they-want/

Dipping into a contentious issue by taking a stand many Republicans oppose, Mr. Trump told a town-hall-style event, hosted by NBC’s “Today” show at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, that when people go to the restroom, they should “use the bathroom they feel is appropriate.”

He added that before the law passed, there had been “very few problems” but now North Carolina is experiencing an exodus of businesses and “strife” from people on both sides of the issue.

“You leave it the way it is,” he said. “There have been very few complaints the way it is.”

This is all about fear and hate, social conservatives are just afraid to be open about it since they know it's bigoted and they don't want to be called bigots anymore. So they hide it behind some bullshit fear based on something that's not real. They can call it whatever they want, but it's fear of people who aren't like you. You tried and failed with black people, you tried and failed with gay people. Now they've moved on to transgender people. It's the only progress conservatives make, they can always find a new minority to hate and vilify. Thankfully, most people have seen through it because companies poured out of North Carolina when they refused to get rid of it.

Yeah, he said Caitlyn Jenner could use the ladies room at Trump Tower. But that was when he was trying to beat Ted Cruz by appearing as the more reasonable person. So we can't know for sure what he believes, he said whatever he thought the audience wanted to hear. He would have killed cats on stage if he thought that would help him win.

I tend to believe him on this one, after reading the article. It was something he seemed to have a clue about.

A certain number of Americans agreeing with a person about a policy doesn't necessarily mean much. At one point in our history clear majorities of Americans agreed that slavery was an acceptable institution, keeping blacks from eating at the same lunch counter or using the same water fountain as whites was tolerable and that staying out of World War II was the smart thing to do because it wasn't our fight and neutrality was the morally correct thing to do.

Agreement doesn't always mean right.

Perhaps more places could have unisex bathrooms to prevent these issues.

So in a unisex bathroom you could have both men and women in at the same time, how is that any different from a transgender person going in a restroom with the gender they idenfity?

Either the people who oppose me want me on their side or they can't handle an opposing view. I don't know which, but I find it fascinating that people keep trying to change my view.

The transgender people can use the unisex bathroom. It's not different, it just protects them better.

I still haven't received any solutions to stop men from following women into restrooms against their wishes. A reason why the amount may be higher than some reports is that it is not a crime for a man, in most states, to go into a women's restroom, as long as they say that they identify as a woman. Meaning that if there's no crime, there's nothing to report.
OK, yes, in a lot of States there is no Law against Men going into Women's bathrooms.

However, the Store is not going to allow an obvious man into the Women's Bathroom, so, it would certainly have to be a man in drag. How many men you figure go out in drag hoping to do something to some woman in the Restroom?.

And, if a Man was to get into a women's bathroom in drag, anything he might do to offend or hurt a Woman in there, would be illegal, so, there is no reason incidents would be under-reported due to no illegality. And there are stall doors, so, no need to worry about a man in drag leering at a woman peeing.

So, what logic do you use to come to the conclusion that "A reason why the amount may be higher than some reports is that it is not a crime for a man, in most states, to go into a women's restroom, as long as they say that they identify as a woman."

Stalking, inappropriate touching, leering at a woman peeing which would be sexual harassment are all illegal and would be reported. I'm not seeing how a man could get enough jollies in the women's bathroom to justify dressing up in drag in order to get in to get those Jollies, nor how a man in there to get his jollies wouldn't be reported for breaking a law?

Oh, also, it's so rare, when The Conservative Groups first went on this Crusade, they had to make up false incidences in order to present cases, they couldn't even find any real cases to boost their argument

I don't need you on my side. Just having a good time poking holes in your "facts" and "logic".
