Rogue One (2016) [SW Anthology Series)

And stripped back the "neck" to almost nothing.
Probably not meant to be the exact same ship, but the configuration seems damn near identical. Maybe a different model from the same company?
There is a Mon Calamari in the film, so their cruisers could appear. (It's "Legends" that had them only join the rebellion after Yavin, as that they were a fairly new species to the galactic community since the Empire made 'first contact'-we see Mon Calamari in ROTS for instance-they're what Palpatine and Anakin are watching at the opera).
I'm guessing the rebel fleet was sort of wondering around a lot, kind of seperate from the base planet, since we don't see them at Yavin or at Hoth. Maybe a roving base of operations for the higher-ups such as Mon Mothma although we do see her at the Yavin base. Maybe it's because Bail died on a planet....or maybe the fleet gets badly messed up in Rogue One, and needs to be rebuilt back to it's ROTJ strength (It's not quite as large in ESB).

Anybody heard of the fan theory that the Rogue One team are captured and twisted by Vader, and become the Knights of Ren? It's a bit of an out-there one, but there are a few things...
1)Some of the weapons appear identical
2) The pose of the Rogue one team in early publicity shots is kind of similar to the Knights of Ren.
3) We don't really have any indication that the other Knights are force-sensitive.

Yeah...NO!
Such as? And anyway, reused props don't really mean anything, and even in universe it stands to reason that multiple parties would use the same weapons.
That can have many meanings, none of which have anything to do with the Knights of Ren.
So, they are the heroes until they become the villains?
Yeah, no, I don't buy that, and if its the case, I'll be done with Star Wars. That's ridiculously complicated, maddening, and does nothing to contribute to the story.
I can't see them going that route. I was also under the impression that the Knights of Ren weren't Sith, and weren't involved with the pre-First Order Empire.

Lucasfilm and ILMxLAB have released new Rogue One connected 360 degree short called Rogue One: Recon, following two X-Wing pilots (the POV character and his partner) as they stumble across the Death Star while out on patrol. I watched it on my computer and I enjoyed it. It was nice on my laptop, but I can imagine it must be really cool with a VR headset. I tried to watch it on my tablet, but the Youtube video I got there wasn't 360, so I did my laptop instead, which did let me do click and pull 360.
