Linda Park verbally abused by Manny Coto

Maybe not California, and lets not all Nominate Florida too quickly, but if Washington DC gets it's statehood, maybe kicking someone out of the Republic is cheaper than replacing all those flags with 50 stars, for new flags with 51 stars?

They managed just fine when Alaska and Hawaii were added, they can do it again.

(A version of) Linda's Point of view "I don't like that Trump won, so California should leave the United States. We are going. We are better than you and we don't deserve to be brought down by your back ward hillbilly bullshit anymore. Goodbye."

It's like (While playing football) when you piss off the kid who owns the foot ball, and he storms off taking his football, and the game has to stop, because no one else has a foot ball.

"Shut the fuck up" is an appropriate response, if Linda was really mobilizing for secession, and not just dreaming or fucking around.

The Republicans have selfish short sighted goals, but the democrats are being whiney children about how they lost.

Seriously?

There is rioting.

Rioting!?

That's fucking UnAmerican activity.

"Sigh"
^^^
Yeah, I guess you missed 2008 and 2012.

Point being your boss isn't your "coworker."
Irrelevant. And yet you are still wrong anyway, because a coworker is someone who works at the same company, regardless of position. Besides, it still doesn't justify telling her to shut the fuck up.

To you Subcommander is "Shut the fuck up" better, worse or the same as "Shut up"?

There's a conversation in the side bar of her Instagram where people are consoling Linda for having heard the word fuck, more so than that she was told to shut up.

TO someone who you know personally? I'd say it was worse.
It's not profanity that offends me. I say fuck a lot in my personal life. But I think there is a difference when you are addressing someone you personally know, and say the word fuck in a non-joking manner.

And BTW it's not that I am defending Park's political position. I just think it is a little messed up someone she once knew addressed her like that. Especially when they both work in the entertainment industry. It just smacks as unprofessional. Had he said Shut up instead, it wouldn't have bothered me at all.

To the members who have stayed on topic, thank you.

To the rest of you, too numerous to name: What part of "No political discussions here" did you not understand?

NO POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS HERE.

Any more from this post forward, and the warnings will commence.

Was Coto addressing Park or Pishevar? I know it's on Park's post but maybe he was addressing the whole secession thing.
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering, too. The way Facebook handles comments under posts can be quite confusing. But still, even if Coto was addressing the post and not Linda Park, I think he should have spent two seconds before hitting the post button thinking about how his comment could be misinterpreted. Or he really is addressing Park, in which case he's just an ass.

Her instagram follows Racism and hate crimes on a national level... or at least the most recent posts I looked at did.

There's no comparison.

Frankly, I've got no problem with people telling each other to shut the fuck up, even personal or professional contacts, & especially if I happen to think they're talking a lot of shit. (Not that I got a full grasp of the context here really). It's not like saying it means they've got do it. Maybe it's my upbringing, or environment or maybe I'm just an asshole, but to be honest, if this were 2 men & one thrashed the other this way, it would be a non-issue. Imagine Norman Reedus telling Jeffery Dean Morgan to shut the fuck up in a tweet. Even if it wasn't a joke, there still wouldn't be an outrage. What I find peculiar, is that if he'd just typed "Oh, STFU" it would likely have caused less offense. What the world needs now is thicker skins. There's shit everywhere you step. Have sturdy souls. It's not a civil rights issue if some nimrod tells you to STFU. Just tell them in a fucking pig's eye. Nothing shows character better in my opinion, than standing toe to toe with a loudmouth, instead of crying foul
