Spoilers Supernatural - Season 12

This opens up a possible story arc for season 13. What do you do if the president of the United States is possessed by a demon?

Reminds me of what Crowley said in the wedding episode: "This isn't Wall Street, this is Hell. We have a little something called integrity."

Seriously. Necromancers, blood magic, the Golem, fucking Hiltler? And this is what we get. Very, very disappointing.

The only bright spot was Dean getting a big head over killing Hitler. But even that was pretty mediocre given how it went down.

The Thule have been underused, and this episode was rushed, and wasted great content, as usual. This could have been stretched out for a couple of episodes and into a mini arc easily.... at least one episode dedicated to Hitler was needed. I thought there was no way they could finish off the episode in 5 minutes, but sure enough....

A bit reminiscent of the Frankensteins, too.

Every time I see this commercial, all I can think is, "Where the hell are Sam and Dean?" That dude's eyes are fucking BLACK, for God's sake. He's a demon!

It was cute doing a resurrected Hitler episode, but good lord was that actor hamming it up, pre and post possession.

Good episode. Although I was taken out of the episode right away when they pull up to the house in 1980 and there is a chevy truck from the mid 90's parked in front. I mean, it wasn't even like it was just one of many vehicles far in the background. They actually framed the shot in front of it. Then they doubled down on it by having the truck still out front 37 years later.

Now THIS episode I liked--good to see Jodi ( LOVE HER) and they carried over "I killed Hitler!"--- and also good to see the "Hunter Culture" again. I really liked the idea of them all having heard rumors about the Winchesters. Obviously there was some important set-up with Billie The Reaper. Is it weird that I miss Death? He was awesome (only in Supernatural does that sentence seem even remotely normal).

Eh, I found myself bored again. There seems to be something missing from the storytelling (or maybe just the direction or editing) that's leaving a bland taste in my mouth. It's not the acting, that much I'm fairly certain as they're all been pretty consistent in that regard. But something...

^One of the things I LOVE about Supernatural is that, even in a very serious episode, they will throw in small gags like that one.

Amen there is only one Lucifer and that is Mark Pellegrino.
There's two, Pellegrino and Tom Ellis.
The Hitler episode really was kind of underwhelming. There was a great idea there, but they didn't really do anything to interesting with it. Dean's reaction to killing Hitler was definitely the highlight.
I liked the Hunter funeral one lot more. It was nice to get a chance to spend some more time with Mary, and to learn more about her history.
I like Billie, so any time we see her I'm happy.
Of course seeing Jodi again was really nice, and I especially enjoyed getting to see her and Mary meet and interact.
The new Hunter characters introduced here were pretty cool, and I would love to see the become recurring characters.

"Lotus" was one heck of a mid-season finale.

We finally meet Mr. Ketch, a plan actually WORKS for a change and the boys finally get nabbed--like Guantanamo nabbed. Love the "That's the nicest thing you've ever done for me!" line. HA! (and......ew).

Didn't like the way Cas didn't really use his powers much, except to make that guy NOT see him. I think he could've easily convinced the woman if he just showed her he really *IS* an angel. Also, letting that woman give him the slip. Lame. BUT, the guys are finally in REAL WORLD peril, so that definitely has my interest.

That was kinda disappointing for a midseason finale. This week's episode was a rehash of the previous week's episode, but nowhere near as good. They should have just made last week's episode a two-parter and kept Rick Springfield a little longer. He was such a good Lucifer.

^^ I was surprised by how much I liked him.

Well, I had mixed feelings about this one. We now know that the President in the Supernatural universe is somebody completely different from ours (and they seem to be on a different four-year election cycle, too). Personally, I think they should have avoided this altogether. It kind of puts the the show one step further away.

But Kelly and the Antichrist could turn out to be interesting. And the BMOL sure have some interesting technology.
