You'd have to ask Republicans about that, since they refused to compromise during Obama's tenure.
And thus the division continues - from my point of view that would be the same statement I'd make about the Dems during the Bush years.
When one side wants to deport or abuse everyone who isn't white, and the other side doesn't want that, what's the compromise? Only abuse 'em a little?

All without any record or experience of public-sector accomplishment?
You were delusional. Trump and Pence have made it clear that I'm not included as being who makes America great. But they can electrocute until I am. I'm afraid for my safety. You were upset your side lost.
Really, the difference here is that all the things conservatives worry about aren't real. They worry that their guns will be taken, that Christianity will be outlawed, that there are terrorists on every corner, that BLM is a movement out to kill them, that Obamacare is full of death panels that will euthanize them. None of these things are true, and indeed, liberals and Democrats don't even suggest doing these things.
Meanwhile, Republicans declare openly all the people they want to hurt, exactly how they intend to do it, and when they get power, they actually do it. These fears are not unfounded. Republicans promise bigotry and misery and that's exactly what they deliver, and they're proud of that.

I wouldn't say that he'll abuse or deport every non-white, he may try to deport illegal immigrants who break the law (besides coming to this country illegally, I think that it's unrealistic to deport every single illegal immigrant).
Also, he has stated that he'll reduce corporate taxes to help get companies back into this country. This can help give jobs in large cities like New York City, Detroit and Philadelphia. I'm sure these jobs would be open to Hispanics and African-Americans, meaning he is helping them.

It boggles my mind that anyone could believe such an obvious idiot knows anything about job creation.
This is a man who has squandered his fortune though bad business deals, despite cheating apparently every person he's ever worked with. Forget making an honest buck, the man sucks at the dishonest buck, too.

I'm not going to dismiss anyone's point of view. But, I think the point of coming together and working to make our government work, holding our leaders accountable, and helping each other.
I was afraid of speaking my mind, and losing my job after Obama was elected. So, I empathize with those who are afraid, and will work to understand better.
Also, an interesting, Libertarian, point of view regarding being afraid of the presidency in general. I found it fascinating that there are illustrations of people being afraid of leaders, including Bush and Obama.

Fine, but are you going to answer my question? Do you think Trump will do all those things that he said he will do?
Well, 97% of Congress got re-elected so I don't really know what establishment successfully flipped off.
Obama didn't stir up hate against you and other groups. Trump practically made it a promise. You can't run a campaign like Trump did and suddenly pretend it didn't happen and that we should all work together.
The ones that were the never Trumper's - the establishment elite that have everything to lose by draining the swamp.
Um, I would disagree with that point, but I don't see any reason to continue on.
I'm not pretending anything. I'm not saying don't be afraid. But, we have a system of government that provides checks and balances. I'm saying let's use that system to express our opinion.
That's my only point-use the government system. That's it.
The Republicans control the government and their platform says I'm a disease that needs to be cured.
