CNN is reporting that sources tell them Trump's victory speech will be "gracious." How sad is it that we need "sources" to tell us that? What have we done to ourselves?

I am watching him about to give his victory speech. It is truly unreal that he pulled this off. Those national polls were total garbage because he destroyed her in the electoral college.

Barron Trump really needs to get some sleep. I don't know why they made him stand next to his Dad during the speech.

I wonder what will happen to us poor folks since they're most likely going to dismantle most of the government aid programs. Will there be work houses for us? Will we be turned into soylent green to feed rich folk's pets? Or will we be put down with our bodies thrown in mass graves?

All the Trump supporters will laugh as we cry into our shattered dreams. Laugh, laugh, bask in the glory of their victory.

But then they need to seriously reflect about the kind of world this man will create. I'll eat all the crow they want me to. But I don't want him to burn this country down.

I don't think it's the "end times." But they better hope he treats this job with the seriousness it deserves. It's not reality TV.

If only an Andromeda Strain would wipe the face of this nation clean so we could start again.

But I'm not going to pretend it's a surprise. BLM have shown how racist the u.s has become, I believed them. After the rise in hate crime after brexit, I fear for my friends across the pond.

Trekkies gotta look out for each other for real

Who won this election?

Rednecks and assholes.
Partly. But also disgruntled Bernie people. Third party protest votes. People who were easily swayed by "emails" and "Ooooh she's untrustworthy!"

Trump had a better ground game. Hillary didn't mobilize. And little doubts (ahem! Comey, wikileaks....) chipped away at her numbers. If she got Obama numbers, she would've won.

She didn't.

First Trump came for the Muslims and they cheered cos they were not Muslims, then he came for the Mexicans and they cheered cos they were not Mexicans, then he came for the Black people , and they cheered cos they were not Black, then he came for women and they cheered cos they were not women, then he came for the poor and working class, then they cheered till they realised they were working class and poor and he was coming for them.

Depends. Are you white?
 I forgot. If you're poor and white you supposedly get helped left and right.

I've been teetering above and below the poverty line for a good chunk of my life. I've been homeless in the past, nearly homeless twice within the last couple of years (this year being one of them), and I've lived weeks to at one point at least 2 months without utilities. Most programs in my area require you to have children or incarcerated. I have no kids and I haven't been arrested so I get fuck all help from most programs where live.

The only thing my skin color got me was looked down upon or pointed and laughed at. So please take you're "Whitey gets everything!" bullshit somewhere else.

The rise of the far right across the world just now is terrifying. Humanity is going backwards.
Already this morning in the UK we have had the despicable Nigel Farage crowing over this result.

In Australia, Pauline Hanson did the same thing.

Even Channel Nine, who used to employ Hanson as a commentator in their morning show, couldn't stomach the whole thing. They muted her half way through.
