This and the Vulcan Travel Guide are the only Hidden Universe books so far, right?

I'm pretty sure they are the only two that have been announced so far.

Interesting. Amazon lists it as book 3, so either they're just wrong, I'm blind or Trek reference books are announced in confusing and illogical order. It's probably the first...

This is so cool! I would order all three of them right now, if I weren't running short on money...

I really like the cover, too. It's considerably brighter than we're used to seeing (what I presume to be) the First City.

Perhaps it depicts a time before the Praxis explosion? Note the blue sky, k't'inga-class cruisers and - most importantly - the moon in the background (although that could be Corvix).

Although it's blurry, it seems the language primer is titled "tlhIngan Hol - Do you speak it?"

    tlhIngan Hol'e' petaQ! 'oH Dajatlh'a'?
("Klingon, ****! Do you speak it?")

Yeah, must have been a combination of hosting it off-site and resizing it.

I have now uploaded it to blogger directly (just click on the pics to see the full size).

    Sounds like fun.
TrekCore did an interview with Dayton about the travel guide last week. Towards the end of the interview he revealed that he doesn't have another travel guide planned right now, but that he does have a couple other things contracted with Insight Editions. I'm curious what they are, Insight does a lot of this kind of in universe stuff and a lot of real world behind the scenes stuff. Along with the travel guide they also published the real world non-fiction book on Trek costumes, and the comedy book Little Red Shirt's Book of Doom, so they've published a pretty eclectic collection of Trek books.

Yep. That one, I saw at one of the Chapters/Indigo box stores a few months back...and I wondered if they were aiming it at either the comics' fan base or the movies'. The references seemed...inconsistent on that point at the time I leafed through it. But that's a question to discuss on another section of TrekBBS...

There's a line that leaves me scratching my head:

"Imperial rule extends to over thirty worlds, scattered across a dozen star systems."

*looks at Star Charts and remembers a number of episodes across the series*

Seems a bit...unambitious on the part of tlhIngan wo'...?
