Sequels to episodes - especially TOS

Seems like there were quite a lot of sequels to TOS episodes over the years. Surprisingly, one that hasn't been mentioned yet is Yesterday's Son by Ann Crispin, a sequel to "All Our Yesterdays" which had its own sequel, Time for Yesterday. Also, the entire Crucible trilogy by David R. George is a sequel to "The City on the Edge of Forever," as well as tying in with many events from the original series and its movies. Probe by Margaret Wander Bonano (as filtered through many ghost-writers!) is a sequel to ST IV.

I don't think there've been as many sequels to TNG episodes. Vendetta by Peter David is a sequel to "The Best of Both Worlds," although it is incompatible with some of the later Borg episodes and movies. Imzadi II: Triangle, also by David, is a sequel to ST Generations. And The Return by William Shatner and Garfield and Judy Reeves-Stevens is a Kirk-centered sequel to the same movie.

I'm sure others will come up with many more.
"Yesterday's Son and Time for Yesterday" are two of my favorite books (there are many but these two stand out in particular)

Are we sticking strictly to books? If not DC's first run of Star Trek comics had sequels to 'The Savage Curtain', 'Errand of Mercy', 'Mirror, Mirror' and 'The Apple'.

^Heck, most of DC's volume 1 consisted of stories that were followups to TOS or TAS episodes in some way or another. I felt it was kind of an overcompensation for Marvel not being allowed to reference TOS at all (yet managing to sneak nods into almost every issue of their run). Let's see:

#1-4: Sequel to "Errand of Mercy" and "Savage Curtain," brings back Koloth & Kor (with ridges).
6: Brings back Ambassador Fox.
7-8: Revisits pon farr and the galactic energy barrier as a source of psi powers.
9-16: Mirror Universe Saga.
22-23: "Wolf in the Fold" sequel.
27: Mostly new, but finally answers the question from "The Corbomite Maneuver" of what Kirk would do with the extra 6 percent crew efficiency. ("I'm gonna take it, and I'm gonna hold them to it.")
31-32: Brings back Koloth again (even though he was killed in #2).
33: Sequel to "Tomorrow is Yesterday," also featuring the Guardian of Forever.
37: Reintroduces Arex & M'Ress to the crew.
39-40: Harry Mudd story.
41: Features TAS-style Orion pirates.
42: Inexplicably refers to space gremlins as "corbomites."
43-45: "The Apple" sequel.
46: Brings back Tongo Rad from "The Way to Eden."
54-55: Brings back Finnegan and a character from "Whom Gods Destroy."
Annual 1: Features Pike, Boyce, and Number One.
Annual 2: "Menagerie" sequel, also featuring Koloth (non-ridged this time).
Annual 3: Flashbacks to Scotty's past refer to several episodes.

Voyager's "Flashback" could even be considered a sequel to "Star Trek VI, along with DS9's "Trials And Tribbles-actions", which were both novelized.

And then with Voyager the first two Season 8 titles (Homecoming/The Farther Shore) are sequels to "Endgame". "Homecoming" continues "Endgame"'s narrative.

And the first two Titan novels continue from Nemesis as does the first TNG relaunch novel.

Though we should probably ignore relaunch novels, as they are all sequels to the final episodes or only count sequels to other episodes, save the first and last ones, like VGR: Protectors being a sequel to "Twisted" and A Pocket Full of Lies being a (sort of) sequel to "Shattered" and "Year of Hell". And based on Kirsten's preferences we can assume that Architects of Infinity is based on "Displaced"...
