CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I don't know. No one on the Facebook group knows either, though there is mention made of the Axanar folks telling donors they had the option to *not* have their name listed (though why they would even want to do so in the first place is still up in the air)

Going by that list, sorted alphabetically by first name (shouldn't it be by surname?), is that why (alledgedly) it's taken so long to send out the patches?:guffaw:

Plus, just scanning quickly and randomly for a few seconds, I noticed Ms Kingsbury is listed twice?

Not a bug, a feature. One of the rewards Axanar Kickstarter backers get for $10 or more is being listed on the website. So people know about this in advance. Most are OK with it. In my experience, only a very small number ask to not have their names listed.
So sorta like the big wall o' names at every museum ever?

Ahh. Well with the resulting fallout, I'm guessing most will (hopefully) be exercising increased due diligence going forward.

Does Wilson & Strawn have any branded duct tape?

they probably found some of this:

Who the f*ck takes selfies at a deposition; or SMILES when you're the one being sued AND you have no real defense?

The very same people who "celebrate with sushi" when being sued, that's who. They're not exactly the brightest phasers in the armory, if you take my meaning.

At this point, I think they're probably just enjoying all of the attention this is getting them. After all this whole thing has actually gotten then mentioned on places like CNN and The Hollywood Reporter, neither of which would have probably given a damn about them without the lawsuit.

And none of those will give a damn about Axanar when it's all over.

Enjoy your 15 minutes, AP. :techman:
