Can we not have stupid reasons out of the blue to keep two love interests away from each other.
Yeah, I never really felt they sold the chemistry between them properly, but ending it did seem a bit abrupt and arbitrary.

Well, the only one of those that's an actual name is "Eva," however you pronounce it. So Cat could go for that.
I think a better analogy would be to having chemical or biological weapons on the premises. Or radiological weapons, which is what kryptonite actually is. Would you want to work for an organization that was willing to poison people with plutonium?
Although there was a good scene in that Superman/Batman comic I mentioned, where Superman asked Batman to imagine what it would feel like if there was a substance out there that could just kill him at any moment without warning, and Batman said "I don't have to imagine. It's called lead."
I'd assume that the Supercousins did some superfast building repairs between scenes.
I liked that it wasn't an insta-repair and looked like something a person without a construction background would put together as a stop-gap. In so many of these shows having super powers means they have perfect engineering, architecture, artistic and construction skills. "Wait as I restore Mount Rushmore to its original state!"It crossed my mind as well, but considering Kara's construction technique with the teepee of steel beams, I wouldn't really trust her repair jobs long term, personally. Maybe Clark understands construction better.
Considering she went from 'Kara' to 'Kira', I don't know that the actual facts of the name really matter much to her.
Sorry, I'm with Batman on this one. Kryptonite may technically be a radiological weapon, but in almost every instance of seeing it used it's actually far more comparable to a regular weapon. It doesn't leave lasting effects, it doesn't even usually incapacitate them to the same degree that getting shot would normally incapacitate a human. It's a perfectly reasonable safeguard that the world obviously needs.
So, no comments on on the DEO knowing Superman is Clark? Seeing as in that scene at the DEO he makes the comment in front of everyone about interviewing Lena as a reporter?
Good opening episode but two things bugged me...
Can we not have stupid reasons out of the blue to keep two love interests away from each other. How about we just let them get together or just drop it all together, I don't want to see a full season devoted to will they or won't they. Also it looked like one poxy beam in the car park was going to bring down an entire building? or is that more down to small budget only being able to show one poxy beam in a car park.
But in that scene he was pretty much addressing everyone in the room. It was a group conversation. Not like their "private" talk out on the city street.
Similarly, the DEO agents talk as if the Supers can't hear what they say such as Alex and J'onn talking about Superman. I guess maybe they tune out the convos around them unless specifically focusing.Despite it being unlikely that superheroes could maintain a secret identity away from prying governmental eyes in this day and age of modern surveillance technology I think the show is still pretending like nobody can actually hear what the characters are saying unless they're directly spoken to.
I hope that Luthor's sister really is good. I know a lot of people are expecting the common trope that Luthor's sister is secretly evil because she wants revenge for what Superman did to Lex. I definitely hope the writers can subvert that cliche by keeping her as a "good guy".
I'm wondering how long they'll keep Mon'el in a coma.
Considering we're talking a fictional universe with city name like 'Metropolis', or 'Central City', or 'National City, or 'Opal City', etc; that entry seems pretty normal for that world.I am amused by her working for generic "Midvale Newspaper"! Years ago there would be no expectation that the audience could ever read something like that. But now they should know that fans will be able to read everything like that and will.
