I hope that too! But that's totally up to Cross Cult.
This is probably the least interesting aspect of a physical English release but I wonder if they'll adapt Cross Cult's spine design or keep the image and change the rest.

Won't it be ebook only and not a physical version?

I really like to see the sales be successful enough for the Prometheus books to be available on Amazon.com.:techman:
The German physical and Kindle books are already available on Amazon, and I'm pretty sure the English e-book will be too.

I've just started reading book 1 and I like it. Too early to make further comments, though.
Admiral Rohde......he he!!!!!

Since @Bernd Perplies has received his author copies of the English version I figured it wouldn't be the worst idea to get the review thread on the front page. :)

Have a look, everyone! The first specimen copy of "Fire with Fire" arrived on my desk today (well, actually on my couch). I'm really excited that in a weeks from now every Star Trek fan in the world is able to read the words Christian and I wrote (well at least in German - as a matter of fact the English version is by translator Helga Parmiter and editor Keith DeCandido). :)

@trampledamage : Could you please change the thread title to PRO: Fire with Fire by Bernd Perplies & Christian Humberg Review Thread

The release date on Amazon is the 28th, the paperbacks will probably start to pop up before that, but e-book readers will have to wait until that date.

Bumping this, as both Therin and I have received our copies, so this book is out there. Of course we’ll have to wait till next November for “In The Heart Of Chaos” to finish the English trilogy.

So far I’m finding that the first 15 chapters are reading like a pilot. In a way it’s reminding me of the plotting of “Encounter At Farpoint” where there tended to give each character a scene to introduce them, unlike TOS, DS9, Voyager & Enterprise where the characters were introduced in a more ensemble way.

Isn't that pretty much what all of the literary series' first books have been like?

I enjoyed it. Different, but that's not a bad thing. Looking forward to the rest of the trilogy. It's always nice to see a fresh take on things.
