Yeah, but since the Goodman book didn't exist when they did the first editions of the Encyclopedia, they obviously did some editing. But I guess they didn't want to do extensive revisions to their initial assumptions.^ Apparently it's easier to just add new entries than it is to go back and edit existing ones.
I'm sure that deadlines played a part in it, too. Obviously the emphasis is going to be on getting all the new stuff in there rather than revising the old entries. If nothing else, that'll be noticed a lot more.
