Is that like "being trained as an artist" makes you a good artist?
It's like "them than can, do ... ". If he actually graduated law school he'd know that he's dangerously close to sabotaging his own case.

Well, it depends on whether he's a good attorney, or a bad attorney. As I said I work for a court, and I'm sure Jespah would have similar stories in that sometimes in watching certain attorneys conduct their cases you are left wondering: "Did this guy GO to law school??/How in the Hell did he pass the Bar exam??"
EG Alec peters could be n "Attorney by training..." <--- he's just a very BAD one.

I was trained as a DJ 15 years ago (a full decade more recent than his legal training). No way in hell should I be in a studio today.
About that impeachment: Clinton was acquitted. He was found not guilty of both charges, including the charge of perjury.
Even though the entire world is aware of his verbal gymnastics to get out of that lie.
We were discussing criminal liability, and that was used as an example. Point is, it doesn't fly.
Don't forget that W&S is also the Law Firm for Wanda, one of the top Theater owners with 2,000 screens in China and 8,000 screens in North America. They've invested in productions of Paramount films and have shown a desire to own Paramount or the Space in the industry Paramount presently occupies. Wanda is backed by the Chinese gov't in part with a $10 billion yearly grant so I doubt they care how they acquire their goals in the film industry.
Paramount is also being sued for distribution issues, for not getting some films into the promised amount of theaters. I wonder who was the owner of those theaters Paramount couldn't get some films into. (the suit didn't say)

So why would W&S pay any attention to one single poorly written fan film? Also now that Wanda was held off on a Paramount acquisition for the next couple of years and started courting Sony (announced today), perhaps Alec may find he has less support than he thought he had.
I searched for one, or even a youtube clip, but couldn't find either.
There are a couple things I love about the JJ Abrams comments. First of all, I love the complete 180 Peter has done since the fan event. He went from being the worst thing to ever happen to franchise to being a great guy who Axanar supports.
Then there is also the complaints about how the JJ Abrams movies are nothing but mindless action, and then we get the story about the script, and it's pretty much the exact thing Peters was complaining about with the Abrams movies.
LFIM reminds me of that old Quaker Oats ad: "Nothing is better for thee, than me."
Yeah, except for the fact that Mr. Oats was truthful and while his product cleaned your colon, LFIM's product was more closely aligned to Mr Oats results.
Actually, it flies quite nicely. The impeachment was a substitute for the criminal charge Clinton would have normally faced had he not been the President. That he was not convicted in the Senate is of no relevance. My point is that he faced the equivalent of a criminal charge for lying in a civil deposition.
But hey, if you feel some compulsive need to rush to the defense of a serial rapist and mass murderer, don't let me stand in your way.
