I just spent the last 6 hours binge-watching season 2 of You're the Worst. - I'm glad it got renewed for a 3rd season. When Married got cancelled, I figured that this one was next. Looking forward to more Aya Cash. More Aya Cash is always a good thing. - This season went into some dark and serious places. Can't all be fun and games though. This is good dramedy. - The show is pretty honest, like when Gretchen ran away and hid when Jimmy's relatives came for a visit because she just didn't feel like meeting new people. It stayed honest, yet played up the comedy. - I was almost rooting for Jimmy to get with that bartender. I'll call her BlondeSandraBullock. She turned on him pretty fast though. The actress is George Clooney's cousin, by the way. - Microwave baby will probably have some defects, unless it's not the microwaved version. It probably isn't now that I think about it.
She did a drive by on Grey's Anatomy, then (the character) sued for sexual harassment on the way out. "Mexican is what they call pakkies over here" is sublime racist cultural insensitivity. Jimmy's family is a ####ing timemachine. Lindsay in the pit covered in the fake blood, putting the lotion on... Maybe Wild Bill and I don't disagree completely on some subjects. Did you see the scratches that nerd put in the side of Paul's face in the end?
Tessa Ferrer? (Who owned the bar.) Rashida has 13 years on Tessa, and is African American. Is it possible to get any blacker than "My dad is Quincy Jones"?
Season two had a great ending, building on both the first season through several subtle call backs and the second second season by paying off most of the storylines. I can't wait for the third season.
Great show. It's amazing that probably the most realistic depiction of severe depression on TV came in the form of an irreverent comedy series. Aya Cash deserves an Emmy for her performance this season. Sometimes it was uncomfortable to watch and you wanted it to end because she sold it so well.
This last episode was disturbing in more ways than one. Or two. Or three. Really not sure how to feel about it. Generally, I find the show to be pretty amazing.
I love this show so much. Probably because I can relate to a lot of their depicted personality disorders quite a bit. You might have missed the title of the show, and it's general premise.
These people are THE WORST... Although Billy and Jullie from Difficult People are... The Towns people from the township of Colorado Springs in Doctor Quinn Medicine Women are the worst ever. Every week Michaela would find a new hateful vile human being that needed to be taught decency that'd never stick.
It looks like a louder, more obnoxious version of You're The Worst. I just started watching this for the first time this season, and I'm loving it. It's nice how they actually deal with the characters having serious issues, and manage to find humor in their situations, but aren't necessarily making fun of people with psychological problems.
Which is the difference between LA and New York. Season two of Difficult People finished a couple weeks ago, and I just realised that I missed it. Bugger! Regardless, it's clever and funny, about a friendship between a gay man and a hot mess... A less sexy, a waaaaaaaaaaaay less sexy version of Will and Grace.
