If we're talking anime sci-fi, you can't leave out Yoko Kanno, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell Stand Complex are both awesome scores...

I better stop. I start listing cool anime theme songs, I'll be here forever. Say what you want about the content, but anime shows and movies get a whole lot of awesome music.

I came here to say Babylon 5 (especially the 5th season. I love the use of the quotes in the credits, but the music just gives me goosebumps every rewatch), Battlestar Galactica TOS and nuBSG (both versions) and "Tank!" from Cowboy Bebop, but I see they were already mentioned.

I do want to add seaQuest DSV to the list:

Futurama is one of my favorites, even the many times they've remixed and/or extended it. Not only is it fun ot listen to, but I like all the unusual instruments they used to create it.
