Enterprise Complete Series Blu-Ray Features

My Blu-Ray set for complete series of Enterprise arrived yesterday. Which special features should I check out first?

Tough question, as I think they are all very well-made and I enjoyed them all. I think I enjoyed the cast reunion on the season 2 set the most, though.

Braga joked with Berman (or possibly the other way round) that according to the fans Manny Coto can do no wrong. I wouldn't call that taking a shot.

The commentaries are all great and informative. Some are carried over from the DVD sets, while others were recorded anew for the Blu-rays. At first, I wished they gotten more of the actor in to record a few. (Connor and Dominic recorded a few, and John Billingsley and his wife Bonita Friedericy did one for "Regeneration"). In retrospect, though, writers, directors, and technical people like the Okudas are a better choice, as they simply have a better memory of this sort of thing. (That's not to say that any of the actors did a bad job, though, and the one with John and Bonita is really funny).

Side note: A couple of additional downloadable audio commentary tracks were available from startrek.com for a while. Although they disappeared when the site was reorganized a few years back, but most were later included on the Blu-rays, and trekcore.com managed to save the remaining two with writer David Goodman and the site editor (for the episodes, "Judgment" and "North Star") that weren't.

The one for "North Star", might be redundant, because Goodman did record another for the Blu-ray, along with Chris Black, but it might be worth downloading anyway, and the one for "Judgment" definitely is:

Brannon Braga is a great interviewer. He's amazingly candid about what he liked and didn't like about the show and was frustrated about not being able to do. There's a terrific 90 minute discussion/reunion with him and all the actors on Disc 1 of Season 2 (Connor apparently has to bow out about 30 minutes into it, but Jeffrey Combs makes a surprise appearance to take his place).

Things I learned from the features:

-I always knew Scott Bakula had a reputation as a nice guy, but all the other actors can't stop talking (to the point of clearly embarrassing him a bit) about how gracious he was on set, thanking the crew for their work and such.

-That final scene between Trip and T'Pol in "Terra Prime" after the death of baby Elizabeth was REALLY tough for Connor to get through, because just a day or two before, his wife had told him she was pregnant with their first child.

-Even before the Xindi arc, Bakula had encouraged them to move away from stand-alone stories in favor of longer-running arcs (which we saw with the whole thing about Archer being wanted by the Klingons).

-Producers weren't sure that the Xindi arc could sustain the whole season, so they wanted some stand-alone stories like "North Star" in case it was cut short.

I have not gotten through all the extras yet but I am midway through season 2 and I enjoyed the cast reunion extra along with the 3 part extra on the first season plus a hours worth of just chat between Berman and Braga talking about the show, network and early enterprise ideas for the show.

Was Bragga taking shots at Manny Coto on S1:Disc1's Discussion with Rick Berman?
He did say in a later extra (can't remember which one though) that many coto actually produced a enterprise that better matched his idea than he had himself.

I think in the cast reunion, he says "Season 4 is what Season 1 should've been".
