Star Trek - Avenger (Fan Art for a Fan Fic)

So I was told that the art I've done for my fanfic "Star Trek - Avenger" is deserving of its own thread.

The BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front for those of you not in the military lol):
Most of the characters from The Avengers have been "parallel universe slapped" into a vaguely JJ-esque Star Trek universe in which they are the crew of the USS Avenger (I know, it's pretty obvious but hey, it makes a good ship name). Through this adventure they learn about themselves, each other, and in the end they get to save the day.

This fan fiction is a "Stucky" fic, in which Steve Rogers/Captain America and James "Bucky" Barnes/Winter Soldier end up together. Like TOGETHER together. So if you're not into that, just enjoy the art and don't read the fic when I post it lol.

This first post contains the first seven character images done up as comic book covers, complete with bar codes, prices, and trademarks for Marvel and Paramount. No copyright infringement is intended in any of this; it's all just fan art after all.

Here's the Avenger's bridge. It's stylized after the Kelvin and Kobayashi Maru Scenario.

There will also be a "refit" Avenger bridge as well.

Put together a quick desktop image for the story/series. Also playing around with new division badges using the circle motif behind the arrowhead as seen on the dress uniforms in ST:ID. Trying to figure out if I should keep the gold/silver, invert the colors, or maybe do the division symbols as a relief instead of having them raised... feedback welcome.

Nice! Although looking at your title arrowhead, it occurs to me that the "A" with the arrow and the arrowhead itself are very similar. Unless you're set on using the standard Trek arrowhead, would it be possible to merge the two icons into one? I'm thinking along the lines of having the arrowhead having the horizontal arrow from the "A". Not sure how well that would work without sketching it out.

Are you talking about putting the arrowhead horizontally on the A where the current arrow is on that logo? I tried that, if that's what you're talking about, and it came out seeming a bit small for the arrowhead portion unless the logo itself ends up being huge. :/

That's the reason why I put the Avengers "A" inside the arrowhead like a division symbol. Figured it was the easiest way to get both logos together lol.

Not exactly. I was thinking about merging the arrowhead and "A" shapes, since they're already very similar. I hope I'm not stepping on any toes (I'll remove it if you'd like), but this is along the lines of what I was thinking:

So here's a preliminary design on the USS Avenger. I'm trying to go for a Kelvin/Axanar feel but I'm not liking anything I've come up with so far. Suggestions are VERY welcome! :/

I'm still writing it at the moment. I have the first 15k or so words done, which is the first 5 chapters. Working on writing and doing art for it at the same time.

Here's the final character profile image with the full "Alpha Shift" crew of the USS Avenger.

I've also come up with the ship history for the story:

The USS Avenger (Avenger-class) is an older border patrol ship that's about 14 years old by the time the "Avengers" become the crew of the ship. Being that it's older and she's been worked hard during her career, the ship is set to be decommissioned at the start of the story. However, due to the exemplary service of the ship and it's final crew, a new, modified Constitution-class starship will be taking the name Avenger with the crew transferring ships upon her commissioning (the new Avenger is under construction at Starbase Albany, where the story itself is based out of; Albany is commanded by Commodore Nicholas Fury). During the months between ships, the story takes time to establish and explore each character and their families in turn. Then, once the new USS Avenger is finished, things kick off into full gear and the real adventure begins.
