Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I think their production schedule was set through this time long before people even knew what ships would be in the new movie

That's a safe assumption, Beyond got scripted, filmed and had post done in what, less than 18 months?

Unfortunately, getting up very early in the morning the other day, I knocked over my Equinox and broke it again. This time it was a bit more severe, as the plastic In the right nacelle strut actually broke.

Fortunately, I have some very good glue and was able to repair it, but I'll have to be extra careful with this model, as it's design (two fat nacelles attached by two very thin struts) lends itself to being quite fragile. Anyone else had problems with this ship?

Not me - I keep all my ships behind closed glass. No chance of knocking them. Except when rearranging the collection. Grrr.

How dark is the Dauntless supposed to look? I was sent two by mistake, and one - a much more recent copy - seems to have darker aztecing to it, giving it a rather checkered look (almost like a chess board). The other one - an older copy - is a lot lighter in colour, and I recall it being quite a light-coloured ship in 'Hope and Fear'.

For now, all my ships are still in their boxes. One day I hope to get them all out in a display when I have more room.

Do you have photos of your twin Dauntless?

As for the Equinox, my strut is bent. But that's because I keep the ships handy in a big box.

After coming home from a medical appointment, still partly medicated, and having said she was GOING TO BED, my wife spontaneously decided to rearrange some bookshelves and in so doing knocked over my "All Good Things" E-D, snapping the neck and breaking off the little over-the-bridge phasers.

I have yet to decide on an appropriate punishment.

I do hope this is a crap attempt at a joke.
I suppose someone might think there would be actual punishment involved if they hadn't been informed by EVERY OTHER POST I HAVE EVER MADE.

(For the record, we "punish" each other all the time, and "punishments" usually involve things like her "making" me watch an old dramatic film, or me "making" her watch some explody action Scifi movie. It's how she became a fan of "Riddick" and why I like "The Man with the Golden Arm.")

I got a strange email from Eaglemoss yesterday. They told me when to expect my Klingon D-4 Special. Problem is, I got that a while ago. Now I'm left wondering why I got this email. Just a heads up but I'm going to call them and find out.

Could be a glitch with their software, I have a pre-order with a company here in the UK who sent out an email the other day to all customers saying to ignore any dispatch emails received that day as they had run an update which had automatically sent out emails even for products which weren't in stock.

I got it too. IIRC, they did the same thing last year with the DS9 special, sending out a postcard after it had already been long distributed to the subscribers. Oh, well. If I get another one, I'll just flip it on eBay like I did with the Refit NX-01. No biggie.
