So what happens 10 years before Star Trek. I think the Romulan War was way way before that. Trying to think about the Trek timeline and I'm drawing a blank.

I love TOS, I love the look of that show, and I love Fuller's work. The quality of a show is based 99% on its execution and 1% on its premise.
I think the Captain could be an alien though.

While this time line is far beyond a Birth of the Federation story line, it's during the timeline I like best. Original crews. Kirk's time. I said a long time ago what I wanted was just another Star Trek series in the TOS timeline on another ship with another crew. I just about got what I wanted.
I hope he means the beige, tan, and blue uniforms, not the gold/green, red and blue uniforms.

If they mean 10 years before Kirk's birth, ie 2223, Memory Alpha lists it as the year things went wrong with the Klingons, creating the 70 year issue with them.
