Star Trek Discovery

"transgender" is not a gender, it's a transition between 2 genders.
That's shallow truthiness more than informed truth.

This is a good example of doing social justice while not really even knowing what you're talking about
Physician, heal thyself.

mayonnaise
That's at least the second time you've seemingly used "mayonnaise" as a form of address or as part of one. What do you mean by it?

Avoid guessing, you seem to be terrible at it. Also, just a pet peeve, but if you're going to get all up in my grill, at least learn the right terminology first, "transgender" is not a gender, it's a transition between 2 genders.
In an ideal world, yes. Ideally people would just accept trans women as women and trans men as men. But they don't and some people aren't able to fully blend in or want to.

The genders involved there are male & female.
Actually if you want to drag in medical science and not your random thoughts on the subject, there is a great variation in gender among humans they just aren't that common. There are intersex people and people with chromosomes that aren't XX or XY. A basic Google search is all you need, not assumptions and guess work based on your dislike of SJWs. Male and female are just labels that can be applied to the majority of the species, but they aren't default designs. Other civilizations acknowledge that there are more than two genders, it's just western civilization that has a big hang-up over it. Most people don't even question it because it doesn't affect them personally. But their lack of empathy or imagination doesn't make it scientific fact, it's just ignorant opinion trying to present itself as fact.

I love people so eager to start a little drama that they mix up gender, sexuality, and transitions & just sort of use them all interchangeably.
It's only drama because some people get really upset when anyone pushes the boundaries we set up around "male" and "female". Hell, some idiots get upset when a man shows emotions other than anger. Ideally anyone could blur the lines if they wanted and no one would care. Just like how no one really cares if someone wears a hat.

This is a good example of doing social justice while not really even knowing what you're talking about, speak of the devil.
I also have a problem with people who don't know what they're talking about, this post for example.

Fortunately I've learned to laugh this sort of crap off, even make jokes about it. Although even that coping mechanism is getting scolded at these days, if you're not super serious & upset about your problems all the time and try to joke about it a little, it means you don't care enough. It's a real downer. Makes for poor TV too.
There's nothing wrong with humor, I love humor. Unfortunately I found none in any of your posts. Just the same sad memes I see on reddit, 4chan and other sites. I mean if you're going to be a wacky bigot, at least be an original one.

So with that in mind, allow me to announce (in the approved super serious fashion) that I love transgenders.
Actually the proper use of transgender is as an adjective, not a noun. As in transgender woman, because she's a woman who happens to be transgender. But I doubt you care, you just want to ridicule people and try to take a moral and intellectual high ground after displaying a stunning lack of insight, empathy or the most basic level of knowledge on the subject. Most damning of all you think you're funny. But I give you minor points for not claiming you identify as an Apache helicopter. So while you aren't funny, you at least aren't a completely unoriginal hack.

I love them in a super platonic manner. So don't give me shit, mayonnaise-xir.
Yes, your posts fill me with nothing more than your unconditional love and understanding.

Are you honestly trying to dodge your ignorant rant by saying "JK, I love the people I just spent a block of text attacking" and then finish it with another poorly disguised attempt to demean them under a failed stab at humor. Plus you don't want anyone to give you shit. Like everyone else is crazy and you're keeping it real. It's absolutely pathetic.

Takes a wolf to catch a wolf, dawg. AROOOO! ;)

Honestly, I can see how TrekBBS could throw you as compared to the rest of the Internet. Because much of the Internet is accustomed to tolerating bigotry and bigots and reinforcing and normalizing them by "moderating" people who try to call them out, while policing only the most bald-faced versions of bigoted rhetoric. The resulting environments, you'll notice if you pay attention, just "happen" to be overwhelmingly white and male like 90% of the time. There's a reason for that.

TrekBBS is like lamentably few places on the Internet in that it doesn't have that kind of culture. Stick around a while, you might find the benefits are actually worth something.

Please. Do you have anything to back that up? I'm not about to start bashing Trekbbs, but I've hung around many-a-forum and they were all pretty damn diverse. Were there a lot of "white people" ? yeah, but there also gays, bis, trans, blacks, whites, Latinos, married folks, old folks, Vietnam veterans, republicans, democrats, married couples, single people, kids, teens. Every forum I've ever been involved with for any stretch of time had people from all walks of life, and often from all over the world.

Experience with Internet communities going back to the days of UseNet in the mid-Nineties, yes. Of course these communities were not entirely without "minority" representation but take your average geek forum or Board? Something like, say, The Escapist in its halcyon days of sort-of-credibility before it was Actually About Ethics in Game Journalism? In the long term under rules that soft-pedalled bigotry, it would become so disproportionately white and male that even white males would notice it. They wouldn't necessarily do much about it, swimming against the current is hard and most people who try drown, but they'd notice it.

New York City recognizes about thirty (so far).
Let me know when every single city and person in the US agrees with them, a segment of the population being accepting doesn't make up for everyone who doesn't. Especially when a major political party is determined to roll back rights as part of a misguided "moral" crusade.

It's what made Donald Trump the man he is today. :techman: For extra points, call everyone less privileged than you "the real racists" and go on long tirades about their being traitors to their country.

There are perhaps other places on the Internet more welcoming of that schtick, though. Is what I'm getting at.
Right, wallowing in self-pity was what made Trump a billionaire and brought him to the GOP nomination.
