Spoilers Star Trek Beyond references

It was Commodore Paris, not Admiral Paris.

Yeah, you are right.
I mixed it with the offered position to Kirk as a "Vice-Admiral". Have to rewatch the movie again :-)
Maybe with the position itself you could point a reference with "Star Trek: The motion picture" from the 70s, because here Kirk is a not happy Admiral, who desperatly fights to get the Enterprise back. He even get rid of Decker to command the refitted Enterprise again.

There was an Into Darkness reference

Scotty escaping the Enterprise inside a torpedo.

wait in Beyond they offered Kirk a promotion to Admiral?

It's nice of them to include reference to the earlier movies and television shows. I did, however, miss any obvious references to The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. :(

Commodore Paris?

When they showed the time-lapse of the Enterprise A completing construction. Was it my imagination or did the bridge module look very close to that of the Prime universe - movie Enterprise's one?
It may just be wishful thinking, but it went by so quickly, but it felt like they focused on it intentionally.

Kirk mentioned Thasus from "Charlie X" and Chekov paraphrased Chekov Prime's line from "The Trouble With Tribbles" that scotch "was invented by a little old lady from Leningrad."

Also, the lady that kicked Chekov out of her cabin had a skin and hair color that was very reminiscent of Tamoon from "The Gamesters of Triskelion"

I found this mentioned on another website:

In an announcement at Yorktown, the ship NCC-2893 is mentioned. In the Prime Universe, that would be the Stargazer.

I found a place to host it.

No, I have "More Options..." Might it be because I'm on my phone?
Might be, but I it's probably more likely that only staff and premium members have it. I use it quite a lot, but I wasn't sure whether everyone had that or not. I guess Photobucket would be the way to go, then.

Edit: Solution found, I see. :techman:

Also, why did the Enterprise-A do a barrel roll when it went into warp at the end? That was kinda silly lol, but whatever. Great movie anyway!
