Spoilers Killjoys Season 2

It's an Acer Tablet, using the stock Android keyboard and it only started doing this a few months ago. I've tried a couple of 3rd party keyboards, all with auto correct turned off, but will run into episodes where I wrestle with aggressive spelling errors when typing. I've googled trying to find incidents of similar behavior, but no one seems to be experiencing it but me.

The official Killjoys page on Syfy has a fairly thorough photo recap of the entire first season. I read through it yesterday, and I was glad I did because it helped jog my memory of a lot of stuff I'd forgotten about.
Here's the season 2 cast photo, so it looks like the main recurring characters from last season will be given more to do.

And, yes, even I gave up on phone books years ago . . . although I still use an old-fashioned rolodex to keep track of phone numbers and addresses.
The opening credits...ugh. The rest of the show was great. I think that was the first time I've seen Stephanie Leonidas without her alien make up from Defiance. She's cute and I really liked her character. Hopefully she'll be back.
Wow, no, it's from much earlier than that. It's a running gag from the radio sitcom Fibber McGee and Molly from the '40s. Whenever Fibber would make a phone call, he'd pick up the phone and ask the operator to connect him to someone (since that's how it worked back then), but then he'd recognize the operator's voice and say "Hey, is that you, Mirt? How's every little thing?" and get completely distracted from the call he was supposed to be making. There are a couple of Bugs Bunny or other Looney Tunes shorts that reference the catchphrase. (There are a ton of gags that people today know only from Warner Bros. cartoons but that were actually riffs on popular radio routines or running gags of the day. For instance, Foghorn Leghorn is a pastiche of the Senator Claghorn character from The Fred Allen Show.)
I first saw her in the movie Mirrormask, where she was really impressive. In Defiance, I was disappointed both that the makeup hid her beauty and that she didn't get to use her real English accent, which is lovely. Here we got to see her face, but she still used a North American accent. How come Dutch is the only one who gets to sound English?
Wow. I didn't even realize that was the same actress from DEFIANCE.
I still say if you like Stephanie Leonidas, you should forget Defiance and see MirrorMask. Which Neil Gaiman wrote, by the way.
The recap on the Syfy site is actually kind of snarky, and one of their jokes is actually about the fact that Dutch has English accent.

I'd second Christopher's recommendation, it's pretty good. I actually saw Leonidas in it long before Defiance came out, so I was pretty happy to see her pop up there.
Not only was it written by Neil Gaiman, but it was also directed and designed by Sandman cover artist Dave McKean, and it was produced by the Jim Henson company.
Finally got around to watching the premiere, and really enjoyed it. Still not a fan of the new credits, but it was great to see Stephanie Leonidas and I hope she'll reappear. Clara is a fascinating character and I feel like the script opened up a lot of interesting possibilities for the second season.

Things went in some unexpected directions this week. At first, I was a little disappointed that there seemed to be so little cost to the events of the season finale, with everyone coming through it okay. Turin survived his stabbing, Hills survived the bombing, Pawter and Alvis were fine, even the Royale was intact aside from a hole in the wall. It felt like a bit of a copout. But then they went and gave us that sudden, brutal twist with Hills. And for a moment it looked like they were going to do the same with Alvis.
Anyway, things are definitely heating up. Turin's "unsanctioned warrants" for the team to investigate Khlyen and Level 6 gives them more of a focus beyond the warrant of the week, though presumably they'll still have some of that going on.
It seems like it might be somewhat topical that they're doing a story about wealthy corporate tyrants "building a wall" to keep poor workers and refugees contained. I liked the wall sequence, though. "The wall is angry!"

Yeah, that was funny. The reveal that Pree is a former warlord was unexpected, we learned last week he had a criminal history, but that's a whole other level.
Jelco seems like he should be a good villain. According to a TVLine interview with Aaron Ashmore the guy playing Jelco is a cast member from Bitten, so he's the second cast member from another Syfy show to appear in the last two episodes.

Initially disappointed when Hill turned up not only akive, but without a scratch from being inside the Royale as it was being bombed in the season one finale. But what happened later more than made up for it. That was a gut puncher after the teasing setup that there would be rainbows and sunshine for all the characters. Sort of a Defiance vibe with the eeeeevil new commandant sitting in his very pretty HQ with Old Town under a dome (let's hope he doesn't have a stash of monarch butterflies to unleash later on... ). And the muscled up thug who took over the Royale needs to hang around, he turned out to be fun, kind of like Orphan Black's Vic, Sarah Manning's ex boyfriend. Plus, Pree needs a flunky. Give Pree a minion. .

Well, Hills was injured; he had a pretty big stitched-up wound on his forehead, and he'd been recuperating under Pawter's care for the ten days since the bombing.
Other than that, though, I agree. It seemed they were backing away from consequences, but then they made it even worse.
