Have you thought about this? Atleast on DVD (and probably VHS too) this episode has odd colouring to it. The picture seems green/yellowish through almost the entire episode. I've watched it on more than one TV so that's not the problem... I think.

The DVDs are atrocious in terms of clarity and color. Both are all over the map. Thank goodness for the remaster.
Where have you been? There are huge visual problems with STNG before the restoration, period. It was covered in oh, about 7,500 posts when the blurays came out.
I'm a DVD watcher, I haven't seen the purpose to upgrade from DVD to the next level, yet(?)
"The Wounded" SD to HD clip above would be all the reason I needed to upgrade. Especially considering there are sites where you can get all seven seasons of TNG on Blu for under $150 (US).
But... I don't have a bluray player and I'm cheap...
Ok, well I understand, but how cheap is cheap? You can find new players for $30-40 and probably get a used one for $20. I'm actually selling one locally here for $25.

I'd imagine that at some point I'll get the better equipment and blurays and all that, it's just not happening right now.
When it comes to netflix, I will be a much happier camper when I actually have copies of the episodes on disc and won't be on the mercy of online services.

I was just wondering if there's a particular reason as to why the picture looks like that in that episode. I have upgraded from VHS to DVD back in the day so I might eventually move on from DVDs.
The DVD's are just the VHS masters.

I don't have a bluray player and I'm poor too, but I was able to see the HD versions of the episodes using the same tools you use to post on this bbs.
The TNG Blu-Rays are indeed, amazeballs.
The HD versions are also on Netflix too, which is a reasonable amount a month, and the subscription can be cancelled at any time. The quality isn't quite the same as the Blu-Rays, but it's very good for a cheap option, and better than the DVDs.

Hey, I never said I'm poor, just cheap... although, I don't have a LOT on fortune.
Sounds like bluray is the best way to go if I want an upgrade.
Also there are other special features included, as well as the ones that were on the DVD sets.

I just noticed that the UK Amazon is selling the TNG season box for 55 pounds. With postage and tax that comes out to a little over 10 euros per season, which I think is a fantastic price, even if you're super cheap. I mean, I'm kind of cheap, too, and that makes my 20 euros per season seem pretty expensive... (Although having watched all of them I think they were more than worth their price.)
