'Ninja Turtles 2' Box Office Is Terrible News For 'Justice League'

I saw this article and it made me laugh. JL is in danger because TMNT caught a bad case of sequelitis. Lmao. Such things have never been said about any Marvel, X-Men, Spider-Man or DC movie ever. Internet journalist love to spin their opinions.

Although, I am curious how JL performs next year. It opens up a week after Thor Ragnarok in November.

I don't think the situations are comparable.
For one, DCEU has two chances to shake off the bad press prior to Justice League.
Also, the article suggests that people wouldn't turn up even if the consensus would be that Justice League fixes all the problems of BvS, but even people who hate BvS with a passion mostly agree that Batman and Wonder Woman were good so I don't think they'd stay away from seeing those characters again if the overall reaction to it was positive.

I think the success of JL is going to depend more on the success of Wonder Woman than Suicide Squad. First it is closer to the release date, and secondly that movie will be more closely associated with Justice League.

Idk, mate. The seeding in AOU was as clunky as the seeding in TASM 2. None of those aspects had anything to do with the story of AoU and TASM 2. It was more "coming attractions", more than anything.

Why do people keep saying this about the Pool scene? That was so the characters on Earth would finally learn about the nature of the Infinity Stones, one of which was the cause of all the troubles on Earth in AOU.

Yes, while Thor knows Loki's scepter is powerful and shouldn't be left in human hands, he didn't know that it contained/was powered by an infinity stone. What makes that less clear is that the audience pretty much knew it before the movie even came out, but even in the Marvel Speculation thread, most people don't realize that Thor really didn't know what an infinity stone was and didn't recognize them even though he confronted two previously (tessaract and aether)

You see, Thor didn't watch Guardians of the Galaxy.

Wait, whose movie was this again?! :rommie:

It's funny that this was originally supposed to be a Man of Steel sequel. Then it grew to "guest starring Batman" to "Superman is the guest star to Batman" to this cover where Wonder Woman and her shield cover most of him up!

Sort of like how Captain America 3 was going to just follow the story from Cap 2. Then they decided to put their most bankable hero in the film because...I dunno, maybe they were worried that BvS was actually going to be some competition...then decided that just Iron Man wasn't enough and put their most bankable property, an entire TEAM, in the film as well, then threw in Spider-Man for good measure pretty much making Cap 3 "The Avengers 3" instead.

Will have Sharon Carter front and center on its blu ray, along with Cap and Tony? Yes, that would be "sort of like". But the odds of that happening are even slimmer than those of this "Ultimate Edition" being even a halfway good movie.

I disagree. I finally saw Civil War yesterday with my son who doesn't follow any internet discussions. He's nine.

I said that it was more of an Avengers film to me. He thought about it for a moment and said, no Daddy--the other super-heroes were in the movie but the story was all about Captain America's decision to help his friend and to go against the United Nations decision. That's why it was a Captain America film and not an Avengers film.

I agree with my son.

Also, we both agree that it was cool to see Spider-Man and Black Panther.
