I think what this article fails to mention is, that parody can very well be a form of satire. Making people laugh through mimickry doesn't mean there isn't a satirical background to your parody.

The defenses of parody and satire are being crossed between copyright and trademark these days; it's another way enterprising () attorneys such as Ms. Ranahan are attempting to change the law.

I do Not hate Axanar I like many involved in what should of been another fan production. I just DO NOT agree with how a certain group of people at the top of the production have conducted business. I wish them well and would so like to move on with my life.

I'll say again that your ship design is one of the strong points of the production (my opinion) and since you saw the light rather quickly none of the haters really hold you in contempt (general observation).

I have to say I wish you'd find a way to share the comments with Justin Lin/JJ Abrams so the two of them can REALLY see how (even after the JJ Abrams announcement regarding the lawsuit); the manner in which Alec Peters and others in the 'top ranks' at Axanar treat other Star Trek fans who actually HAVE contributed to, and celebrated the franchise without doing anything illegal or getting a HUGE sum of money beforehand.

All the above said, I completely understand where you're coming from, and your certainly taking the higher road in all this.
