Kes occasionally comes up in the relaunch novels for a page or two. She even has/had a son.
Are you sure you're not going to read them? Anyway, SPOILER WARNING!
Captain Eden will be head of the Voyager Fleet (9 ships altogether with Voyager taking the lead). Their mission: to go back to the DQ and find out whether the borg have really vanished from the galaxy. But Captain Eden is tortured by visions on this quest and for some inexplicable reason she feels that she has to check out that piece of rock which Kes and Zahir visited together. She can't explain it but she definitely knows that what Kes saw on that journey is a map ... and an incomplete one at that. So she has to find the missing pieces of the map - and learn secrets about her own past no one could ever have imagined. Least of all she.
Will this do for an explanation?

Honestly, I don't know if I will read them, too many good characters gone and replaced by (for me) uninteresting characters. The comparision to the excellent seasons 1-3 books will be to a clear disadvantage for the current books.

When it comes to Kes, I prefer my own stories.

However, I will give Beyer some credit for not ruining the character Kes and for bringing Janeway back to the Relaunch Books.

But who knows, I might read the books some day in the future

I quite like the relaunch books - the only snag is you can't just pick one, you have to read them in the order they keep appearing. And I agree that Beyer creates too many completely uninteresting characters. What's even worse, by the time you learn their names and ranks, she starts killing them off. By the dozen. Frustrating.
Apart from that, the stories are interesting.

Well, he is part of the episode so he figures in some of my PHAGE wallpapers.
There'll be even some with the two Vidiians together ...
I know they don't exactly look like someone you'd like to have on your computer screen all the time but if you keep changing your desktop wallpapers, then they are OK. My PC changes them every 15 minutes.
Also, I can't really explain why but to me the Mallons look a lot more repulsive then the Vidiians. I don't know why ... but that's the case.
But I promise I'm going to share a wallpaper that's aesthetically much more pleasant tomorrow. In fact, I've already chosen one - no one's going to look ugly in that one ...
OH, BTW, I've started working on some FAIR HAVEN pictures. And since you wanted a Q2 wallpaper, that episode is most probably going to be next in line (sometime in the second half of the summer).

Fair Haven is good. I like the Fair Haven episodes. At least Janeway had her fun and that girl was turned into a cow.

There are a few more Paxau wallpapers and Neelix will be in some of them. The next one in this series will be with Janeway and Chakotay.
I would find it difficult to choose from the characters of the holoprogramme. For me, it's Thomas Eugene Paris in the flesh ... or no one else, !
As for holoprogrammes, I'd love to spend my time with in-the flesh Janeway and holographic Leonardo da Vinci .

Like I said earlier, there'll be some more PAXAU pictures - some of which will have B'Elanna as well.
It's a pity that at the moment I'm working on wallpapers for episodes that don't feature B'Elanna too heavily (TIMELESS and FAIR HAVEN).
But her time will come. I love REMEMBER and will surely make a lot of wallpapers for that one one day.
